Why does Heroes have to kick me off the bandwagon every time I get on? I’m TRYING to like this show, I really am. I was ready to bail but keep coming back for glimpses of untapped potential, only to be let down by characters with an IQ of 27 Here is just one of 50 billion examples.I’m talking about episode 21 “The Hard Part”. Hiro and Ando have just jumped back from 5 years in the future. They are two days away from the bomb exploding, and have a chance to save New York. They find Sylar, and Ando is fired up. OMG it’s your big chance!!! Dude, you have to kill Sylar! And Hiro say, ‘ but I’m not supposed to kill him for a couple days.’ Huh?Ando points out that Sylar is going to dismember him tomorrow, so Hiro might want to get off his butt if he still wants a best friend to hang out with next weekend. But Hiro’s got yet another excuse- he can’t kill Sylar while he’s asking for forgiveness.Let me get this straight- Hiro has spent the entire show bragging that he will save New York, spent about 10 episodes looking for a samurai sword (you know, for killing people), has already seen the future if he doesn’t get it done, knows that Sylar is going to kill his best friend soon, and HAS THE ABILITY TO FREEZE TIME FOR THE EASIEST KILL OF ALL TIME.What the **** is he waiting for?So finally Hiro makes his move, freezes Sylar, unsheathes his sword, and… wets his pants. He’s got the blade to Sylar’s head and can’t make the kill. Big spoiler here- Sylar gets away.We know Sylar isn’t going to die, so why even have this episode?Hiro’s a god**** P*****. **** this show.He can f***** freeze time. And with time frozen, he can do what he wants, fix whatever needs to be fixed, catch whomever he wants and put away Sylar for good (teleport him into the center of the Sun or something). And if he screws even that up, he can just go back in time and try again. And guess what, Peter can do every single thing that Hiro can do, every single thing that Sylar can do, and thanks to Claire is indestructable to boot.So why the **** is Sylar still going around massacaring cool characters with cool powers even in the third season? There is simply NO excuse for scripts that aren't worth being used for toilet paper in this day and age. If even a show like The Sarah Connor Chronicles can manage to deliver sensible plots and characters who's actions actually make sense on a regular basis, Heroes with a much higher budget has absolutely no excuse not to.Of course I’m watching to see what happens, but I’m hating it most of the time. One way I judge tv shows is like this — I ask myself if I’d ever watch it a second time. My answer to this series is “absolutely not.” I can't stand to have to watch all these characters, esp Hiro and Future Peter, running around twiddling their thumbs like a ***** while Sylar is going on yet another killing rampage.I'm glad the show is FINALLY called “Villains” now because they seem to be the only ones who GET ANYTHING DONE!!!I’d be better off watching reality TV; is that show “Are You Smarter Than A Midget?” still on? Or how about “Who Wants To Marry a 5th Grader?”The characters’ motivations were ridiculous or nonexistent or served the script and not the natural growth of the story. The plot holes are huge, the final battle was bulls***. Eff you, Heroes. If you are a human bomb about to explode and wipe out New York - move to the Arizona Dessert I don't care what your super powers are - if you are a spineless coward you should not be given a sword and told to kill someone - especially when your FATHER is a Ninja with better powers than you.I'm sorry fans but the show is AWFUL.The characters show no common sense what so ever. The dialog makes me cringe at it's condescension at the viewers intelligence. The acting is rock solid, but completely wasted by whoever comes up with these idiotic motivations for characters, its the under expression emoting made popular with the sappy teen dramas. It's a horrible cliche ridden pile of junk with plot wholes so big the Enterprise could fly right through it with ease. There is no 2 ways about this - the show is awful. I have never watched a show, other than Lost, that is so **** pointless. I will admit, it has an awesome premise... but it is not fully utilized by the creators and writers. We barely see any powers anymore in the show. Its mostly just a thinly veiled soap opera now with various storylines that allow the writers to drag out episode after episode without telling us anything, without resolving anything, and without making anythign interesting in the slightest. The fact is, the show has gotten mind-numbingly dull and slow, and although the characters are fairly 3 dimensional, their actions and decisions are mind-boggling and frustrating.

have to agree with hammer; the show is very frustrating.

i'm a comic book fan and have been since i was a kid and i really like the idea of heroes, the production values are high and the acting is good , not like that crap show the x-men that was on tv a few years ago.

and i know the show is in essence a rip-off the excellent wild card novel series from the early 1990's. but i had high hopes for it. i think the people who make the show have no real understanding of the genre of superheroes and it shows - my biggest fear when the show started is that they would do what anybody who doesn't understand the genre would do: give everyone superpowers and/or make characters too powerful too quick then scramble around to plug the inevitable plot holes.

sylar is too powerful, peter is too powerful , hiro is too powerful, and replicating powers in new characters is stupid because if different characters can have the same powers then there must be characters with the same powers as sylar, peter, and hiro

which is bad news for any decent story. another problem is death - it means nothing in heroes because anyone can be brought back or just their power in a new character i will keep watching and hope thay sort these problems out because like lost it should be a great show.

On the "duplication of powers issues" it seems some of people are expecting too much from the show, while actually I believe the writes are keeping it more or less close to the "real word". For instance, an athlete than can run 100m under 10s, a diver that can go down on apnea for 15 mins, a math genius that can resolve complex equation just in their head or a music genius that writes variations never heard before can be compared to powers. Although there's a few people compared to the entire human population that can do this, that particular skill they have is duplicated to a few number of individuals.

I am in agreement with those who are disappointed with the show. In the beginning it was one of the best shows on TV. I thought Sylar was one of the best villians ever created. I watched with great anticipation where the story and characters would go next. Then season 2 happened and I began to think maybe "Heroes" was a one hit wonder. I was really eager to give "Heroes" a fresh start with season 3 but it looks like the writers of the show never read what they write or they think their audience is as hollow as the plot holes in EVERY episode or as wooden Peter Petrelli's personality.

PLEASE if you write for this show...STOP insulting our intelligence and write like you care about the show as much as the fans whom you write for.

yeah i like the show trying my besl to ignore all the plot holes but i cant say i disagree with a single thing that captain hammer said, if u can freeze time and love to carry a sword around then use it for somethin good, why hiro or peter dont stop time and just get rid of sylar extremely stupid, but then again that would be way too easy and then people are gonna complain that was crap, they just killed him without a fight and no one would like it

Why not YOU try and create a show of your own I am sure it would be pathetic. If not, just shut the hell up and stop watching Heroes, cause there are tons and millions of shows that are worse than the BEST.
