   I just want to say that Hayden is doing a thing for the marine life (dolphins and whales). I was so afraid for her when I heard her encounter with the angry japanese fishermen. I am very glad that she alright now.

   Listening to Hayden cry about the whale killings, and explaining how "real" it was when compared to the Hollywood party scene made me roll my eyes, at first, having grown up and lived in the poorest countries in Africa, Asia, Brazil, post-soviet Eastern Europe and Russia, and the Middle East, where dhengue fever, aids and river blindness, suicide bombings and occupation, natural resource destruction and pollution, and totalitarian regime rule are every day life.

   However, who am I to judge so quickly? I live in the US now, and enjoy Starbucks, health care, and Trader Joes.

   She does feel real emotion for something she believes is cruel and not right. She is doing the best thing that someone in her position can do. She cannot help who she was, but she is changing who she is. That is the best hope any of us can have for the future, and arguably the hardest thing one can do.

   I reserve my disgust for those that speak out against injustice without actually doing anything about it, which essentially contributes to the problem, making it "just the way things are" in the public's perception.
