   Any chance Gretchen has a power like Parkman and "convinced" Annie to jump and inspired Claire to do the following:

   *Open up about Mineral Wells (Gretchen could read her mind like a mental Google)

   *Do odd things to be her friend (like play guitar hero)

   *Tell her all about her power and let her cut her

   *Ask her to be her room mate.

   *probably a few more.

   *This could also explain the upcoming "kiss"

   I think she's from the Carnival and they want her blood.

   I agree with you smm. **SOILER ALERT** I saw a trailer for this season that had Gretchen starting a webpage exposing Claire, and a cut of Samuel praising somebody for doing a good job "isolating her" so they could get to her.

   While it's not beyond the writers and producers of Heroes to just "forget" certain storylines or characters (re: Caitlin still languishing in a future that will never happen), I can't imagine we have heard the end of Annie's "suicide." It' seems like a rather elaborate plot tool to use just to have Claire reveal her power to another character. There must be more the Gretchen than we have seen thus far.

   I find her kind of boring and weird...and definitely not trust worthy.  They seriously have to show Claire liven up a little bit now that shes in college...shes still talking like serious and depressing.

   So, I may be off here, but when HRG first meets Gretchen, did it seem like he knew her, as in he knew she may have powers. I think he is keeping a closer eye on her than anyone else realizes. He seemed to agree to Claires explanation about telling Gretchen all about her way too quickly. Could be that he's just waiting for the right time to swoop in and save his little Clairebear.

   She is very weird and very boring.  Reminds me of a young Morticia Adams without any of the appeal.

   All I can say about Gretchen is this. She better be cool. I mean, really cool. Her power, if she has one, better be mind-blowing spectacular, because she is way, way too annoying to be anything but. However, being a fan of Heroes, I know this is not the case. She may have a power, it may be somewhat cool, but if there is one thing I have learned throughout the first 3 episodes of Heroes it is that nobody, and I mean NOBODY that surrounds Claire in her daily life is ever going to make a damn bit of difference in the Heroes universe (HRG is the only exception to this rule).
