Was it the writers strike and the hurried end to season 2 and the poorly planned Villains volume? This season is much better! I want to pretend this is season 2.1
I am so mad right now dude i can’t get this sh*t of my mind call me crazy but I love this freaking show, and I do know that it has been bad lately but I just never wanted to believe this would ever happen. :(.....I am thankful that is not going to get cancel like other shows have had and NBC is going to let it finish strong, but things change every time a show is call for canceling you will see more budget cut things get rushed out more people die, a good example is Prison Break and Dark Angels. Two great show went down weak and horrible……..
Anyhow I do believe that the writer strike ruined this show.. Thanks for nothing.
I think it needs a break... if Heroes vanished for a few years, it could make a spectacular comeback that wasn't so rushed. It can give the writers chance to think.
Ravenhill: I hate to say this but I agree with you!
Guys..I am just as disheartened as you guys ...I cant even REALIZE this is happening....man with the amount of time I have been on this Forum for the past 3 years as a loyal fan...just the thought of not thinking of Heroes anymore sucks. Honestly though guys I dont think the writers strike was the main reason. I honestly Enjoyed season 2 alot right after season 1 espacially because HIRO was more mature in that season going against Adam in Japan that if felt like he was on the path to his bad ass persona. Peters Ireland story wasnt bad at all, but they screwed Caitlin up...Maya, Roberto, and West were bad add ons. Mohinder, Matt, and HRG were still fantastic in that season ...espacially working with Elle.
Heres what the problem was...LOOPHOLES and Sudden Changes to the plot...
For example: LOOPHOLES Caitlin disappearing, Mohinder Disappearing, West Disappearing, mikah Disappearing. Angela Asking Hiro to take Adam out of the coffin for Arthur to absorb?? etc.
For example: Sudden Changes to the plot..the biggest Villain Adam is absorbed by Arthur instantly at that start of that season...no character development with him or Hiro...Arthur wants to build a serum to give to the ARMY?? WTF? Making the army cadet take the serum show off his new strength only to have that Black guy villain snap his neck in a second...WTF.
When things like this happen people will ask a FKN TON of questions....HOW THE FK did NBC let their ONLY ONE EMMY NOMINATED SHOW get so degraded down to a level now they cant bring back up. I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH....NBC I wouldnt cancel this show at all..I think you need to hand it off to another network now.
Although this season is going GREAT with character development, drama, story, acting, and action...they should have done this before when the fan base was higher in numbers....PLEASE put the show off on Sale and give it to someone better...dont cancel it. If it does cancel it...somebody better make a new show called HEROES: EVOLUTION or something like that.
Maybe FOX can save this amazing show! Just imagine, Glee followed by Heroes or vice versa! They'd dominate Wednesday nights!
Man If ABC stole this show and puts in its AMAZING writing as they do for LOST.....They will DOMINATE Wednesday nights...Ironic isnt it...Heroes was once the "competitor" of LOST...HAve them both together and your unstoppable.
I'm starting to think that its NBC's fault!!! the don't make the writers listen to the fans!
It just needs time to re-think, and come up with better chronology that doen't contradict earlier plots.
Annoying bits- The eclipse, Hiro digging up Asam just for Arthur to take his power, Adam dying afterwards, Nathan healing from a gunshot with no explanation, characters cheating death too often, new characters dying before they have a chance to make a decent impact such as Danko who hinted at a backstory that was never explained, characters coming and getting forgotten and never mentioned again, such as Daphne and Caitlin whose boyfriends moved on surprisingly fast afterwards, Hiro not being aloud to grow, inappropriate way of dealing with Peter being too powerful (why not just make him have a limit to how many he absorbed so that eventually the lesser-used powers would slip away?)
Listen to that, NBC! The fans are speaking to you! Now, if only CBS would pick up Heroes and put it right after Big Bang and How I Met Your Mother, they would dominate Wednesday nights, or Monday nights, or any night!
