How can we save Heroes/why did fans leave?
-
I think this season Heroes is finally getting back to the forumla that made it such a successin S1: compelling characters and a storyline that keeps us guessing and intrigued from week to week. The problem is, so many people were alienated after a crappy, albeit abbreviated, S2 and rather weak start to S3. I am taking this last season news with a grain of salt, as it is only a rumour at this point, but I would have to assume a spike in the ratings may help save the show. So spread the word ... Heroes is back.

<p>Ok, so let's say Nathan was healed because he still had some of Claire's blood in his system, and becaue it was just a small amount left it took a while to take affect. </p><p>Caitlin's still stuck in the future and is realizing no one is coming to save her. Might even end up coming back as a villain at some point.</p><p>Hiro realizes that the one good deed he needs to do is to save Adam Monroe from Arthur Petrelli and helps Adam kill Arthur. Which would also be before Arthur takes Peter's powers.</p><p>Result: Heroes is saved.</p><p>btw. I know Adam Monroe is probably not coming back, but a 400 year old, invulnerable, sword master, was a pretty bad ass character. Kind of reminded me of a more sophisticated version of Wolverine.</p><p>Who ever it was that decided to bring Arthur Petrelli into the show should be fired and never employed as a writer again!</p><p>To answer the question of this topic: the original Peter Petrelli/Arthur Petrelli</p>

As much as i love heroes, i have to say... killing off some of the good actors (David Anders) wasn't a very good idea. it went a little down hill in the whole "Villians" part of season three but... this season is amazing! the whole hiro saving everyone... sylar in matts head, argueing, matt seeming crazy. THe Samuel/carnival storyline is a little confusing but it'll all be understandable soon, as in every heroes season. The beginning is a little rocky but it smooths out into amazing-ness. I totally agree with Kal15 ...Heroes IS back. Tell your friends.

I agree Hiros is back but is it enough to sustain the show from cancellation??? Has anybody noticed that their are no commericials or tag lines or break intervals in other shows that publicize heroes as much as they did in season 1 - 3? They should have a ton of commercials now to get the audience hyped...where is the marketing aspect to bring in other fans?

That's a good question Maj. I confess to not watching any other shows on NBC, so I can't say for certain how good the marketing of Heroes has been, but with the strength of this season, NBC would be crazy not to hype it some more. The network is struggling, and Heroes could be THE franchise.

you know what would save this show, if somebody time traveled and stepped on a butterfly that lead back to the midway point of season two and they finished the original storyline and and went back through the series from there. Damn i'm good...

Hiro, as always, is the tool they need to fix this show. I always thought that it was such a brilliant move to have a time traveling hero in the mix. I know a lot of people complain about the excessive time travel in the past, and it's true, they did abuse it a bit. However, having Hiro as a character allows for infinite possibility in the story. Fans not happy about what's been transpiring on the show? No problem, just write a kick ass story for Hiro that takes him back and fixes the crap where it went wrong. I think they are trying to do that sort of thing now, and it excites me waiting for how it's going to turn out.

Tip for NBC- Stop letting Claire write the script. If she wants to play lesbian she can do it in her own time.

Ravenhill you crack me up...Hey you TVFanatic/Roundtable Guys....Does NBC look at this website and all the threads that we write????
I dont think what we are asking is a big deal....basically we are all looking for a mature Hiro now, HRG involvement, answers, and consistency. I dont see how that can take a lot of the Heroes Budget.
Hey if somebody from another network is reading these....somebody make an offer to NBC to purchase this show because the fan base is crazy and can be more crazy if the writing was there.
