What this show needs is a serious reboot. No doubt the ratings are proof of this. There is a solid fan base out there that is sticking with the show but to the average viewer this show has nothing for them. What’s even more disturbing is the diehard fans are getting pissed. So what to do?

First, fire all the writers. They’ve had their chance and they’ve destroyed the show enough. Second, begin season 5 with new actors and a completely fresh storyline. No matter how season 4 ends next week the show will start fresh for seaons 5. Third, this will all be explained in one of the following ways:

1 – Some new Hero from the future comes back and is able to release some sort of airborne toxin that takes away everyone’s powers. Everyone that had powers from the first 4 season loses them. However, the phenomenon starts again and different people begin to gain new powers.

2 – Some astrological event (such as the eclipse from season one) occurs and everyone who had powers loses their powers. Reboot with new people.

3 – Insert your storyline here but in the end, no one has powers from the first 4 seasons! CNTL-ALT-DELETE and restart

Then the season 5 will begin the following rules established:

1 – Subtitles will be greatly reduced. The lazy people of the world who left the show will rejoice and possibly come back.

2 – There can only be one fake death and rebirth per season. PERIOD! After that if someone dies they’re dead.

3 – No one will have the power to bring people back to life (aka – Claire’s blood)

4 – There will be at least one lesbian and one gay Hero. All you homophobes will have to get over it but you’ll draw in more viewers.

5 – The camera will not be allowed to be at a 45 degree angle for more than 5 minutes per episode (ala – the stupid carnival)

6 – The main cast will be no more than 6 people with a supporting cast of around 4. Seriously, can anyone name every single character on the show from memory?

7 – They can introduce new characters only after others have moved on, died, transformed, mutated, etc.

8 – Each super hero can only have one (possibly two) powers. No more hoarders like Sylar. They become way too powerful then the writers don’t know what to do with them.

9 – There will be one hot guy (eye candy for the girls/gays) and a one hot girl (eye candy for the guys/lesbians). Seriously, there is no one on this show that is magazine cover hot. (I understand that Milo Ventimiglia is there but he’s never shirtless and is dressed to look like he hasn’t showered in days and Ali Larter is there but she’s been gone FOREVER and hasn’t been in anything sexy since season 1.)

10 – The new writers will be required to review Heroes forums to see what the fans want. COME ON! People have been bitching for years now as the viewers have left in the millions.

11 - Reveal people's powers SLOWLY. There needs to be some mystery and character development.

12 - There will be only one doublecross per season. We need good vs evil here folks.

13 - No more pussies that complain about their powers. Internal confusion is ok but not moaning and groaning (Parkman).

14 - WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?

I have read your post

1) I didnt like how you said to get rid of the cast. That alone will destroy the fan base

2) Their is a forum out there already called "What do you want to see in Season 5"

3) everything else good point!

There does not need a reboot. I dont understand why everyone does not like the show. It has been on for 4 years, these characters have developed over the course of the show. These are supposed to be REAL people with powers. Just think, how would things be if all of us had powers. The show reflects that. There are some things that I do not like about the show, but come on. To me, the show has only gotten better over time. The first season was not all that good. And yes maj I can more that likely name all the characters names just by memory. I have talked to a lot of people about this show and most people dont like it cause its like a SYFY show. Like i say all the time, IF THE SHOW IS THAT BAD, QUIT WATCHING IT. Simple as that. But guess what??? You wont. You are gonna keep watching cause you like the show, the good and the bad.

SO, NO REBOOT!!!

i agree with bear8809, this unreasond battering of the show is uncalled for. this season has seen a dramatic improvement, an example of this is the character development of some characters such as peter, and now sylar-like it or not.

i also agree with a cull of characters who have been static for too long now...i.e. ando, claire

I agree with you guys. No Reboot. I dont want Heroes Reloaded. I want Heroes Revolutions damn it. Which means Fire the Kring Administration!!!!!!!! then look to the writing, editing, directing, producing, soundtracks, marketing, etc.

If Destroy the Cast ...you Destroy the Show - The fan base is because peoples favorite characters are in the ones we see on screen.

I'm with them. No reboot. They just need to put more time into planning the series, and put more effort into character development. Season 1 was the best because it had a long, but well thought out and amazing story, and the characters grew. That is all Heroes needs to improve.
