Interesting thought about Sylar!
Remember the future where Sylar was good and had a kid named Noah? What if Sylar stays good and the evil spirit dies within Parkman. Also a possible scenario with Noah Bennett is that Noah is looking for redemption of when he and Elle let Sylar become a monster while working for the company and he somehow helps Sylar this season and dies because of it causing Sylar to name his kid after him?

You could be onto something there, but I don't think that that particular future is going to happen anymore. I could be wrong, though. This show is hard to pin down.Posted 10/21/2009 7:29:48 PM #
Nah, that future won't happen. Sometimes elements from one possible future do get passed over though, like Peter's scar. That episode proved that whatever causes that scar, he hasn't found a way to avoid it yet.
I always thought Sylar being good came about because he was working with Noah, and Noah was meant to become a good influence. And then Sylar's kid was either named after Noah or actually is Noah reverted to childhood somehow. In that future Sylar also says Peter is his brother, even though this was said to be false. And Noah's partnership with Sylar was too short.
Another reason why I think Villains was just made up as they went along.Posted 10/22/2009 9:08:53 AM #
I thought Elle was Noahs mom because her and Sylar got it on. Then again the Future is never set in Stone, thats why I hate over use of Time Travel.Posted 10/22/2009 9:42:53 AM #
The future seen in Villains could have been beter if they did it like they did in Season One. When they saw the future in Season One, they tried their hardest to stop it and only just managed it (because of Nathan). In Villians, pretty much everything they established in that future was blown away in the next few episodes. Thats not really the road to take when you're trying to establish a future that the characters are supposed to join forces to prevent from happening.Posted 10/22/2009 11:33:51 AM #
I agree the producers and writers are doing what they can to pretend S2, and even early parts of S3, never happened. I may contradict myself here, but I think the future seen in Villains has been altered while the Heroes are on a course to live out something similar to the future seen in Five Years Gone in S1. I've theorized previously that much of the future on this show is pre-ordained. For example, Hiro went back in time to save Charlie in S1, but found out she was dying anyway.
Likewise, New York was saved from an explosion in S1, but, had S2 not been truncated by a writer's strike, was to be nearly wiped out by a virus.
We saw a Sylar in the future who was a shapeshifter, but then he killed Candace (a shapeshifter) at the beginning of S2 and was unable to assume her power. Nevertheless, he encountered another shapeshifter and was able to get the power that way.
We saw a future Noah who was helping those with abilities remain hidden from government forces who wanted to capture them. We are starting to see a Noah now who is turning in his role and wants to help people with abilities.
So I think eventually we will see Sylar posing as Nathan to become president, and eventually an epic showdown between him and Peter looming on the horizon, with a Samurai Hiro who is a complete badass and rebel. And how would this fit into that future storyline: the regular male cast member to get killed this season will be Ando -- in Five Years Gone, his death was one of the catalysts for Hiro becoming what he was in the future.
Admittedly, I'm jsut kinda dreamin' about all this, as what I would like to see happen while maintaining some consistency in the story line. But given my track record in predicting where this show is going, none of it is going to happen.Posted 10/22/2009 1:09:06 PM #
Kal 15 I wanted to point out that Candace wasnt a shapeshifter. She can alter surroundings as well..Advanced Illusion I suppose. But I completely understand your point of certain situations still happening to lead on to the same ending. The future is not set in stone though and your right - this show goes off in different tangents every time. Which is cool (and bad) at times.Posted 10/22/2009 2:21:44 PM #
You're right Maj, my bad. She could alter her surroundings as well. But the power would still enable Sylar to assume an identity that isn't his. This show has been really good this year -- I hope they keep it up and give us what we all seem to be clamouring for, that epic battle between good and evil.Posted 10/22/2009 2:29:47 PM #
So where do the Carnies fit into the future? Or are they just the flavor of the season?Posted 10/22/2009 3:15:04 PM #
Do you think sylar will ever use shape shifting again and he could be samuel now if he wants. i bet we see that eventuallyPosted 10/22/2009 7:57:21 PM #
