I believe Mama Petrelli is Kaito’s killer and the under-the-radar badass master. It’s evident she has some power and a hidden and very dark agenda.
1) Marked for death: But she’s still alive and doing fine. I think her self-inflicted injuries are a fluke and she actually declared herself guilty of killing Kaito, but Matt thinks she’s covering someone else. Here you have the proof of her Persuasion power.
2) Family ties: Mother of a Nathan who can fly, and Granny of Claire who can regenerate. Pick your choice. Yes, I believe that, like Peter, she has an array of power at her disposal.
3) The Haitian works for her: He’s shown many times that his main allegiance is with her. And so far he’s the only one, thanks to his Negation power, who can kick Peter, Sylar and Hiro’s arses if he needs to.
4) Puppet master: a) She mentioned regularly Peter and Nathan’s dad (Adam) has suicidal tendencies. Well, I don't buy that. I actually think she tried to kill him with her mindset being "the king is dead, long live the queen", but by lying to both her sons, she keeps them both under her leash. b) She presumably has/had a relation other than professional with both Adam Monroe and Kaito Nakamura. I therefore believe she’s the mama of Nathan, Peter and Hiro. And I think on the next episode, we’ll see the Darth Mama say to Hiro: “I’m your mother”. c) She was fine with Peter exploding himself and destroy New York.
My theory is based on the fact all women are evil... LOL and only (half) joking.

Wait just one minute, did you just suggest that Adam is Nathan and Peter's father? That is just speculation if you ask me. I don't want to make any judgements about Adam until I hear more about his character. The company makes him out to be a bad guy, but he's just trying to "save the world." I have no real proof at this point that Adam is anyone's father.
Anyway, I think Kenzo/Adam is a really cool guy, could you see him settlin down and havin kids with some stuck up first lady type, I don't think so.
Also, I could see mama petrelli being the mastermind, as you say, but I think the creator's have something even more unsuspected in store for us.

Well, there's now no doubts whatsoever, Mama Petrelli is the off-the-radar mastermind vilain of the show, leaving the likes of Sylar and Adam turning our attentions away from her plans.As evident it is, Mama Petrelli has a darker and well hidden agenda (i.e episode when Nathan and Bob met and talk of the original 12), and therefore all she says are lies and manipulation tactics to get what she wants.
The motives to be or turn into a vilain are Power (think Sylar) and Revenge (think Adam). I believe Mama Petrelli have both, which makes me believe that she lied about Papa Petrelli and he's therefore not dead. My theory is he stayed hidden after the original 12 divided into 2 groups, one who wanted to destroy the world lead by Mama Petrelli, the other to save it lead by Papa Petrelli. Whatever happened had led to him staying hidden and not involved (idem to Victoria Pratt) and the only way for Angela mastermind a plan that would force him out, i.e the secret of people with abilities to be unveiled to the world.
Papa Petrelli is the one who shot Nathan.

i think papa petrelli did shoot nathan i believe he went into hiding because he need nathan and linderman to become close and to stop nathan from prosecuting linderman. they needed linderman to back nathans congress run and to stop nathan from saving ny
also they think adam is so bad because he wants the viris released but they wanted to nuke ny what is going on

i'm almost positive adam/ kensei is not mr petrelli now. they made mention of the original members of the twelve and listed adam and mr petrelli instead of just one or the other.

i think i am peter got it right that was a good post i went back and watched all the shows your right on or preety damn close anyone who thinks adam is big papa petrelli is as stupid as peter in season 2

I agree with all of you that its stupid to think that Adam is Papa P.... You know what is even dumber though? People who don't know how to punctuate sentences! Yoyo Polly-O, learn how to use a period. Its annoying reading your posts because you don't know where one sentence ends and the next begins.

Adam is NOT Papa Petrelli - Victoria Pratt seemed to have comfirmed that, when she was telling Peter that he was as bad as his murderous parents, because he was working with Adam who needed to destroy the world to dsatiate his god complex. I believe that the Petrelli's, Linderman, Maury Parkman and Adam were working together to destroy the world, then be the Saviors of what was left of mankind. But some of the other 12, namely Kaito Nakamura and Victoria Pratt didn't see eye to eye. Kaito locked Adam away, Petrelli's took over the Company, Victoria went into hiding - but Linderman liked the idea of being in charge and modified the Destruction of the World into a smaller scale disaster. However, Papa Petrelli might not have agreed with the sacrificing one or more of "his" sons for the cause and was either eliminated(supposedly) or faked his own deathe to help stop the sacrifice of his sons. However, now I feel that Papa Petrelli IS the head of the Company and calling the shots. Although not wanting to sacrifice his kids he had no choice but to keep the secrecy of the "Specials" and to silence the exposer.
