you misunderstand me jake. i know future peter has some powers, for example time travel and that freaky power whereby he can put people in other peoples bodies, and also able to change his appearance, but does he actually show his regenerative power? i agree future peter has powers, but are they the same powers as before his dad took them? i believe he has lost his regenerative power-or to be more precise-not regained his regenerative power. yes the hatian was there, and i agree he could have blocked future peters powers, but this doesnt account for the fact that future peter has a big bloody scar down the middle of his face!

you got a point there.. the scare was never explained..

I never actually thought about the whole thing about PresentPeter losing his powers and it's effect on FuturePeter.. but why wouldn't FuturePeter came back in time and stop PresentPeter from going after his father and ending up losing his powers..

If you remember, when present Peter asked future Peter why he is telling him all this and not doing the stuff his self, future Peter's response was, "I have stepped on too many butterflies." It might be kind of like how Hiro is afraid to travel to the past in fear of messing more things up.

I think things are getting a little muddled up with Future Peter.  I think the future peter we saw no longer exists along with that future.  Once Peter obtained Gabriel's Int Apt. ability everything changes, therefore no future peter, and possibly no Scar?  Also because of "the Butterfly effect" and the future changing, I believe that Caitlin no longer exists since the future has been changed already, and she was left there.  But it does open up the possibility of Peter maybe wanting the devestating events which led to the future where Caitlin was left in to happen, therefore making him a villan, so he can possibly see her again in the future.

I think that the one thing everyone seems to forget is that things change. One example: when Peter goes into the future, and then comes back to the present, things are not supposed to go back to that point again. So the initial reasons why he went to the future in the first place doesn't exist anymore. You can't think about the logic of this show in any typical way. You have to think about it holistically. That's when things really start to make sense. And also, go read the first post in good vs evil, because I feel that's the kind of thinking that will allow viewers to understand what is going on.

jake, remember in the episode (2 or 3, i think?) called the butterfly effect, when angela tells peter that it you step on a butterfly, then later 100 people die, what she meant was that what you do in the present affects the future, and when peter said that he stepped on too many butterflies...well thats a bad thing. so that would explain peter's comment about that.

also future peter seems to have only regained some of his abilities, and the reason why he may not have regenerative abilities in the future is because future claire hates future peter and may not have gotten anywhere near peter without the haitian so she doesnt lose her powers. but that may not explain why she needed the haitian when she was cutting peter, if he couldnt regenerate, then she wouldnt need the haitian there to make sure he couldnt, but maybe he has super strength or freezing, or some way to break the bonds and escape. and remember, the haitian wasn't there when claire shot future peter in the chest and he died (unless she shot him in the head and i missed that) so that means that future peter doesnt have powers. so in this season, he most likely regains them, but claire doesnt hate him yet, so something must trigger that hatred, most likely in this season.

congrats for reading this. lol. CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?! jks jks Smile

anyways, i think the line between good vs evil was never clear in this season, tanya, becuase for example: sylar. in the first two seasons, he was percieved as evil, but really was he? he definitely had a concience (ie hanging and remember the walls of his apartment that mohinder and eve discovered?) so i never thought he was evil, just had powers that he was unable to control.

    thanks,

i think they are making the line between good and evil kinda fuzzy so we have to keep on guessing and getting your ideas confused.. by my standards i think the good side is Angela's 'cause Arthur would kill his own son to get what he wanted.. and that's not right.. she on the other hand.. tried to kill Arthur to save Nathan.. it's diferent..

peters biggest fan, you misunderstand me. I know it's a bad thing when he says he has stepped on too many butterflys. Thats why FuturePeter was telling present Peter to do those things and not doing them himself. And I relate this to Hiro because he once said he would never travel to the past again in fear of tearing the space/time-continuum(making a irreversible mistake). And as for when Claire shot FuturePeter, the Hatian WAS there, if you remember...FPeter got shot then presentPeter started running and had to knock out the Hatian to get away. He hit him across the face with some peice of metal. So FPeter may possibly have had his regeneration but it was merely blocked. And yes, Claire must have had the Hatian in the room when cutting to prevent FPeter from using some other ability to subdue them and get away.
