Once upon a time in Texas
Wanted to start this thread up as well....So this episode is supposed to take us back 3 years....what do you guys expect to see or happen???
I just cant wait for Charlie...That was probably the one time when I really enjoyed Hiros character because he was interacting with such a sweet, realistic, charming, and attractive character. I Loved when Hiro went back in time in season 1 to save her life from Sylar only for her to reveal she will die anyway from the aneurysm. It was an AMAZING twist of fate and really was heartwarming, and heartbreaking that he couldnt be with her, and for Hiro to get a second chance at this for all to see..I am DIEN to see how he will face off against Sylar now knowing what he knows....
all I can say...Hiro...dont be a Moron and get the girl ...grab your sword...and FKN KICK SYLARS ASS!!!!!!!!!Posted 10/28/2009 4:17:53 PM #
I couldn't help but think of you Maj when I saw the trailer for tonight's episode: TIME TRAVEL! Your favourite. LOL. I'm encouraged by the teaser/spoiler on this site that Isaac Menendez may be making a guest appearance tonight. I certainly hope so, if only to hear Hiro say, "Mr. Eezak" one more time. Can't wait for the show to start. I don't what I'll do with my Mondays if the rumours are true and Heroes is done after this season ...Posted 11/2/2009 12:43:06 PM #
Definitely Kal 15 you know what my feelings are with TIME TRAVEL. Although I really hate him using it all the time; to see this for once will be worth while. I'm just thinking that if Hiro goes back in time and faces off against sylar like they are showing, and he kills him....THE whole Villains/Fugitives Arc will change. Are the writers going to allow a reboot like this....probably not, but that would be awsome. I am actually analyzing the benefits of the faceoff between these two.
In this time line tonight we will see...
The famous sylar we loved and feared back then..not this moron empath fake Petrelli brother we have now. The sylar they will show does not know he is an empath, is not influenced by Angella and Arthur Petrelli, has not decided to join Denko, and is NOT a shape shifter, and has not yet killed SARAH MARSHALL.
Man I just cant wait ...so many possibilities to this episode.Posted 11/2/2009 1:18:52 PM #
I am exicted too, I hope this episode is good man becuase like someone else said we are half way thru this season and so far nothing yet. But I can't wait till tonight!!!!Posted 11/2/2009 2:23:06 PM #
WOW THIS EPISODE WAS SO AMAZING!! The story was awesome!Posted 11/3/2009 5:42:11 AM #
I really enjoyed this episode alot. I was glued to the TV screen. Charlie and Hiro had great chemistry together. Man I was clenching my teeth on how gripped I was in the scene where Sylar was taking out her aneurysm. As Hiro is saying that Japanese poem...totally poetic and the drama level was heart warming...i was really feeling her pain...With the amount of times Hiro stood strong against Sylar using his time stop power...I felt that he had matured and finally took control of his power....Plenty of hints tonight that Hiro needs to bring back his sword....I cant believe future Hiro called past Hiro a moron...kinda weird coming from a person who could be a MORON majoirty of the time.
What a cynical, evil, son of a Bitch Samuel is to kidnap Charlie ...and use her as ransom for Hiro to join the carnival was totally jaw dropping. Samuel you are teh FKN shit...and new official bad ass in my book....I was shocked to see Mohinder....DONT LET HIM DIE...GREAT EPISODE!
HRG and his affair storyline...very weak...this guy is being seriously downplayed.Posted 11/3/2009 9:44:56 AM #
Not a bad episode, but not a great one either, IMO. I found myself grudgingly liking Hiro having to scramble around trying to preserve the time line while he tinkers with it -- the irony was too good to not enjoy. It was also good to see Hiro's faceoff with Sylar from Hiro's perspective for a change. Usually in those encounters we see it from whoever is opposite Hiro -- think Hiro making the cranes for Charlie, or fighting the soldiers in feudal Japan, or his "killing" of Ando. It was pretty funny to see him stop time and do his little shuffle run to the other side of Sylar.
However, I don't buy Sylar accepting Hiro's story about his future, and then not killing, or at least trying to kill, him and Charlie. The Sylar we know and love from S1 was a ruthless bastard intent on one thing -- collecting powers. It is way out of his character at that point in time to leave two powers on the table in exchange for the piddly information that he is going to die alone.
I think for the first time since the show started, I hated the HRG storyline in this episode. Unless that Lauren character pops up in a future episode set in the present, it seemed totally frivolous, useless and did nothing for the story. And while I did enjoy the nostalgia of seeing Isaac and Eden again, I'm not quite certain what the point was. I don't see it adding to the depth of any character or sharing any knowledge we didn't already know. All it was a re-enactment of a previous scene, and set the stage for a dumb scene with Lauren and HRG, complete with a freakin' kiss. Memo to the writers: the strength of Heroes is not cheesy love stories (Claire's lesbian kiss last week and Noah's flirtation with adultery this week). It is characters dealing with new and amazing powers, and figuring out if they are going to do good with them (Peter) or be selfish (Sylar) and cold-blooded evil (Samuel). I can accept the "love story" of Hiro and Charlie because it will provide motivation for Hiro's character. It has a purpose. Noah's almost affair and Gretchen's girl crush serve no evident purpose. HRG is a great character -- don't turn him into a retrospective douche bag for no reason whatsoever. Please put this little dalliance in the Caitlin File. I'll accept that plot hole.
As has been the case all too often this year, Samuel stole the show. one thing I have always loved about Hiro is his little super-hero-type nicknames for people — Flying Man, Nemesis, Brain Man and now Butterfly Man, or Evil ButterFly Man. Right from the start Samuel has been manipulating the Heroes like pieces on a chess board, and it has made for fascinating television. My burning question for next week -- what happened that caused him to take down Mohinder, and why does he want it changed? Does Mohinder hold the answer to his dying friends? Samuel's comment about the graveyard getting fuller was quite telling. Is it possible the Shanti virus is running through the carnival, and he needs Mohinder's blood to stop it? Or is it something in Mohinder's research? I'm quite looking forward to the answers to those questions.Posted 11/3/2009 10:01:52 AM #
Just watched the episode online, I missed it last night because o work, but DAYUM!! I LOVED THIS EPISODE!!! If they can keep this level of momentum up I can't possibly see this being the last season. I loved the time traveling, especially the scene where Hiro tricks himself into going back and hooking up with Charlie.
I do have to agree with everyone about the HRG/Lauren story. Totally pointless. The only enjoyment that I took from it was the fact that they used the Haitian as a verb. I can see that being used by fans of the show in the future. "Dude, we were so DRUNK last night!", "I know, man, I totally Haitianed myself."
The preview of next week's episode kind of worries me, though. Peter is apparently struggling with his power, again, and it looks like he might be losing it. Come ON writers! Don't you read ANY of these forums? The last thing Heroes fans want to see is Peter becoming weaker. Steer that shite in the opposite direction already!!!
Ugh, now for the worst part of every Heroes episode, the seemingly eternal wait for the next episode. Hey Hiro. if I steal your girlfriend, will you get me the complete series on DVD now?Posted 11/3/2009 12:01:48 PM #
I will agree that FOR ONCE it was FKN HIRO who had me gripped this episode..I am still in shock of how evil Samuel is and how perfect the ransom plan is to pull Hiro in...just EVIL ...JUST PERFECT....I think for me SAmuel and the Puppet Master were ideal Villains..Now Hiro...hurry your ass back to the hospital so Peter can cure you...UM HINT HINT...Hiro you better listen to EVERyone that you met that said "Where is your sword"...GET IT BACK MORON..Posted 11/3/2009 5:12:15 PM #
