Peter Power Evolution

I noticed that Peter doesn't know that he mimicked the magnetic power in the previews. Doesn't this indicate that he still hasn't have full control of his full potential?Posted 9/16/2009 11:00:25 PM #

I think the writers realized that they were getting way too far down the road of a Monty Haul Campaign and the madness had to stop. It's more forgiving for bad guys to be powerful, but the good guys need a challenge.

Peter losing his powers could have been brilliant, if they didn't do it so soon. If he'd spent a reasonable ammount of years being all powerful and suddenly had to cope with being normal, the show would have been more interesting and the plot would have been quite comical at times. Especially if Peter got mugged and ended up habitually trying to call up powers that were no longer there.
But Villains was quite rushed.

I think that peter gained the ability to adopt a power of someone he touches. however he only can have 1 ability at a time. when he touched sylar in the end of last season he gained his ability and that is all the abilities that sylar gained from other people. if he were to now touch someone with only 1 ability ie everyone else then he would lose his multibility.

i think it's been established that Peter only believed he took shapeshifting from sylar. he may have taken the others, but was only connected to the shapeshifting power.
For example, he didnt heal, or use telekenisis to take HRG's gun off him, when he thought either claire or peter was sylar.
the graphic novels sort of hint to claude's return in the near future. or at least they stated that there were 'leads' to follow up about the invisible man. i wonder whether he'll help peter, as well as this new woman.
Rachael also looks like being a promisisng character too.

Well, Peter still can only carry one ability at a time, sylarISgood. It has been confirmed that he didn't get the others.
Sad thing about the Rachel character is that she will NOT be here for the entire season. Heroes does need more new characters, fresh ones at that.
Peter injected himself with the formula which means that his current ability cannot be teached to change by Claude, if he were to return.

I knew he hadnt got any of his other abilities, but has it been confirmed that his power is only as it seems?
shame about rachel. the show really does need some fresh characters, and she had a good ability. why all the promo stuff on the graphic novels?
i didnt mean claude was to train peter again, just help him. he was a good character, it'd be good if he came back into it.

The reason why they have been promoting Rachel is because of the fact that the novels add more freedom for creativity, whereas national television is where you need to think carefully of what characters you create, what storylines are being put on the television, and what product would sell the best.

yeah, that makes sense. still a shame tho.

I hardly ever read the graphic novels, but I must say that I probably have mised out on some good material. I know that I can get caught up, but I feel like I joined the party late...

Sylar: I can't bring Nathan back Peter, but I can sure as Hell swing a sledgehammer.
