Does the haitian have to concentrate to block others abilities or does his mere presence negate them? If so I can think of half a dozen times when he hasnt when he should of

If you dont remember he does have a limitation. He has to remember how he felt when he was around the person whos power he is using . The invisable man made him realize this. remember when he unsuccesfully tries to fly its becayse he wasnt thinking anout how Nathans flying ability made him feel. Its very strange but peters powers and ability of a source are tied into his emotions.

Peter has Claire's healing talent, so why does "Future" Peter have a face scar? I have a theory, but would like to hear everyone's thoughts. Plus I remembered, "Amensia" Peter's ex-Irish girlfriend drawing a tatoo on him...same theory his skin should have healed itself well before the tatoo would "take".

Peter doesn't have to remember how he felt to use someone's power he absorbed. If you look at the 2nd season he used DL's phasing ability when he had amnesia. He was trying to get free of the ropes tied around his wrists and used the phasing power with no thought or even being aware he had that power.
What Peter's limitation is (other that the obivious being the writers themselves) his mind. Just like if you had all these tools and had the knowledge to use them but you are limited by your creativity or thought process.
Heck someone mentioned earlier why didn't Peter fly away when being chased by Elle and the Haitian. Well you could ask why didn't he go invisible, use his telekinisis to lop some heads off or teleport.

Peter couldn't use any of his powers while being chased by the Hatian b/c the Hatian has the ability to block people from using their powers remember?!?!

But peters limitation is the fact he doesn't use his powers or really knows how to use them properly, other wise we would unbeatable and what a boring show if everything can be solved in one episode. its the fact hes reluctant which is his limitation

There is really no need for peter to EVER be in harm's way, he could literally be non-existant because he can phase and turn himself invisible. Also he should have every almost every ability seen in the series so far since his run in with future peter, not to mention the powers of the villains from level 5

I think peters power is fantastic!! it is just up to the writers to do something equaly as fantastic with it !!

Chris I completely agree about the way peter puts himself in danger when he doesnt need to.
But If his power only emulates the full ability of others then he might not be able to use powers already emulated by another (EG. his future self). Also his power might be expanding just as the other heroes do, so he might not be able to handle the power future him has. It might just be because of the time difference! As for the Level 5 Villains, he could not use any of his (stolen) abilities whilst in that body which means his power must not have worked in that situation.
