Possible solution to Peter's power problem...

Kal...ok.I like your theory..but I fear this will become a loop hole quick...I would just like a quick scene that Peter saying "I can take powers by touch and accumulate them inside me" or something of that nature because man...i just thought I finally had it figured out..and hes my favorite character on the show..i dont want him to become confusing atleast.lol.

Yeah, the whole compass tattoo thing definitely was Samuel's power, not Peter's. That was what was so significant about that handshake between Peter and Samuel at the end of Ink. Samuel was putting the ink that he had sucked up at the beginning into Peter via the handshake. Now, I am not entirely sure of the significance of what the ink being inside Peter is, maybe Samuel will be able to control Peter somehow with it. Maybe not. It's going to mean something later on down the line, though. That is, if the writers do not forget that they did it in the first place.

PyroPuppy...I hope it was Samuels Power....Honestly to tell you the truth...I just dont know if that compass showed up on his arm because Peter absorbed Samuels Power or was it Samuel that was doing it standing away from Peter and smiling..Maybe Peter is only taking one power??????????? Maybe he is not accumulating???
kinda confused?

to be honest, i dont think he is accumulating powers at the moment. but if he is, he's not accumulating them on a conscious level.
time will tell if the old peter power returns. i'm of the opinion that the compass on his arm was given to him by samuel, and that it will only work in certain situations. as we have only seen it working once, on his arm, there is no single common denominator to suggest a reason for it to spin.
however, if i may, i'll make a few suggestions:)
1. it spins around people with power, acting as an indicator or alarm for power.
2. it spins in places where power usage is evident, or not so evident for that matter.
3. it does what a compass is supposed to do. i.e point you in the right direction....to what?? i dont know, maybe a desire, maybe power, maybe a hot chick in a mini-skirt, or a fella with a massive......nose:p
4. it acts as a tool to help peter regain a number of powers. hence the reason samuel raised his eyebrows, and got all interested in peter after edgar told him he was an empath.
well, thats my thoughts for now....

I think it's definitely either 1 or 2 on that list, sylarISgood. Or maybe, just maybe, the compass only spins around crazy like because it's PETER holding it. Maybe the compass is like an indicator of what power a person has, not just that they have a power. Since Peter can have any power, the compass doesn't know where to point. Just an idea...

Oh, and the tattoo compass on Peter, if you believe what I just posted, doesn't really have to be anything significant. It could have just been Samuel seeing for himself that Peter is an empath. Once Sammy boy saw what he wanted, there was no need to leave the tattoo on Peter.

For a long time ...I havent done a cool debate, and this is pretty cool talking about the compass tattoo. It has to be Samuel who made it spin on the tattoo because he was standing right there...and for Peter later on trying to show HRG and couldnt bring it up tells me that he doesnt have Samuels Power because Peter can use then naturally use that power. As if he gets immediately in tuned and in control with the new power he gets. Him not being able to use it shows hes not in control.

Shit..I realized my words got jumbled up at the end. Basically when Peter gets a power he immediately knows how to use it as if he has had it forever. For him not to bring it up on his arm tells me that the power wasnt his.

I have an idea GIVE HIM HIS POWERS BACK

I think everybody wants to see that, Justvisiting. We might get to see that coming to be here in the next few episodes if we're lucky. It will definitely have something to do with Peter learning to connect with people again, like this new deaf girl.

Sylar: I can't bring Nathan back Peter, but I can sure as Hell swing a sledgehammer.
