I think Hanna or Troian should be. Then again Spencer is annoying at times too.

I have no idea why you all say that she is... sure she's the one who does the 'ssssh' in the opening credits, but she is also the one who has had the least to worry about. I'm a Spencer fan but even I can tell that they favour her character more than the rest by giving her great plotlines. She's had crazy storylines about Wren, Ian, Melissa, Toby, her father, her mother, her break up with Toby etc. Aria has basically just had Ezra and Mike's depression.

The show puts Aria as the main focus, but that being said the girls pretty much get even screen space....
Yeah but Spencer gets the best/most interesting SLs....
I guess because the show thinks Aria's character is the most relatable (to the audience) out of the four??? Or mayb cuz she is meant to be the most mature? idk tho...
Like Spencer is really smart and rich... Hanna is very popular.... Emily... is.... um (?).... idk her main plotline is that shes a lesbian....
Aria is meant to be mature and smart and like 'balanced' (like not toooo smart or rich or popular) so ppl can identify with her.....?

I'm sorry, but I still don't see it? If they get somewhat the same amount of screen time (my thought is still that Spencer gets the most) then how can Aria be the main focus of the show? Please tell me facts on WHY she is?

Yeah the girls r given pretty much the same screen time amount.... but idk ppl gen consider Aria as the 'main' person...
um well besides the 'shh' thing.... in the pilot, we were first introduced to Aria and that ep focused on Aria the most out of the other liars...
and in photoshoots Aria is usually right in the centre of the girls/photo... (but that might b due to her height idk)
^^Its not much but its all I can think of right now....

although I kinda like Aria/family scenes because then I get to see Mike and you know how much I love him.
and yeah I don't think Aria's the main character. they're all pretty equal, and yeah the show has some episodes centered around a character if that makes sense. e.g. Spencer's massive storyline episodes at the end of season 1, Emily and her swimming meltdown or whatever recently. Well I guess it's when they're targeted by A.
not sure if that made sense at all but in my head it does
