I've always felt like the show is hinting strongly at the Ali/Courtney thing from the books. I know it's been promised the show will be different to the books, but that would still be true. In the books they had Mona as the first A etc...I'm sure it would all play out differently. It already has, with characters like Toby and Jenna being totally different to the books. But anyways, it's things like the twin story Ali told at the beginning of 2x13 that make me think this is the way they're going to go, also the fact that Dr Sullivan managed to figure it out (you wouldn't be sent to an institution without consultation from a counsellor first) and her seemingly real encounter with Emily in, was it 2x12? Where she told Emily she couldn't tell her who A was because "two can only keep a secret if one of them is dead" - she could have been referring to one of the twins being dead. And now I've just heard that she had a photo of the twins in her bedroom in 2x13 (haven't rewatched the ep yet to see for myself), and in a recent interview with Sasha Pieterse she said there were definitely clues to be found in Ali's room in that ep. Why else would she say that? To me, it all adds up. BUT...
...why would she have a photo of the two of them in her bedroom? Surely then the girls would know she had a twin?
And if the real Ali really did escape from a mental institution, killing Courtney who was pretending to be Ali, why have we been led to believe that Jenna and Garrett are so involved in the murder? Why were they so hell bent on getting rid of page 5? The only thing I can think is that maybe it was the real Ali who visited Jenna in the hospital, telling Jenna it was actually Courtney who had blinded her and enlisting her & Garrett's help in getting rid of Courtney. Maybe that's what Jenna was referring to when she said in her memorial speech about how "strong" Ali was - could she have been talking about the fact that she'd been wrongly sent to an institution? I don't know. But if so, that could mean "A" is a combination of Alison, Jenna and Garrett - which would explain how some of the more physical "A" tasks have been performed. Garrett could have moved Ian's body and the three of them then framed him for killing Ali.
I'm sure there are still holes in this theory (by the way I haven't read the books, so I could have some of this Ali / Courtney thing wrong!), and it doesn't explain any of the Jason / Lucas / Melissa / Ian suspicion, but hey, it's something. I don't think any of us will manage to figure this out completely and we'll probably all be surprised when the big reveal comes!
they have confirmed a twin thing last week but its not like the book with courtney dead and all that they also wouldnt of led ujs to jenna and garett i think a is the cop something is very off about him or might have something to do with it and the jason, lucas, melissa, ian suspicion is the fact that in the bell tower he said im doing this because i love your sisiter so maybe mellisa killed ali because she saw him with ian and ian married her as blackmail because mellisa knows a lot more she knows something big i think .....
Who confirmed it?
All From Season 3 Episode 13 "This is a Dark Ride" New Halloween Special Aired 10.23.12
Ezra has something to do with Garett being dead or with just Garett himself. Here is how:
Hannah: "We all didnt just end up here, -A placed us here on purpose. Everyone in this car has something to do with Garett"
Right after that was said, Ezra walks in to see Aria. Do you really believe Ezra drove along side the train until he found her car. And going back to what Hannah said amout everyone purposly is in that car, how could Ezra find the exact car Aria was in, unless Ezra helped out -A or purhapse is one of the -A's.
Also the red and gold jocker costume could have been Lucas or Ezra, or possably a girl. Someone who is weak because someone strong could not have been beat up by Spencer and Paige.
Closer to the end of the episode when Toby and Noel were fighting, and a cop came to break it up, Jason pushed the cop back. I'm thinking Jason did that so Toby would push Noel into the ice bar and the body bag would come out; like for a reason for that to be shown.
By the way Mona was probably the phantom with the Alison mask because she had the mask next to her bed in the crazy home.
The 14th episode airs 1.8.13
The girl in Hanna's room is one of the too girls .. Ali or Courtney.
Look at episode 13 season 2.. the girls always fight, mommy was upset hearing her voice, etc.
Also the same actress! it was a ghost with Hanna's mom, but damn.. one of the two girls!
maybe courtney was the one who got killed and Ali had to escape because she thought that someone was after her, And Ali is still alive
Remember what Garrett told Spencer? "Someone very close to you has you fooled... people lie, but medical records don't." The body went missing. I think when that body was found, it was mostly just decided to be Alison's, but if further tests had been done, they'd have found out it was Courtney and not Alison. I think this is what Garrett meant. He meant Ali was fooling them and that she was still alive. Also, this could be why teeth were sent to the girls. Teeth are a way a body can be identified through dental records.
This is my opinion based on mine not reading the books.
I think the night of Ali's disappearance, she was approached by Mona (as told in unmAsked) and blackmailed as A. She was asked if she'd rather join the A-team or die just like Mona did in the car with spencer the night of the masquarade ball. Allison had no choice but to agree and become part of the A-team. And her motives were probably partially see how far her friends would go to keep the secrets she told them and they told her. They killed her twin sister (this is based on what I read from other forums) so it would look like Ali was killed. In reality I'm pretty sure either Ally is living with Jason, (that's why the girls would often see more than a single person in his house) or outside of Rosewood. That's why Alli always appeared in their "dreams". Or maybe she escaped when they tried to kill her and hid and came back only when needed evidence. But this is just my theory one of many others. I can't wait to find out who the killer is in the series and I'll start reading books to find out more.
