I also LOLed when Elena basically professed her love for Damon and how Bonnie and Caroline were pigs for giving him such a hard time....and she is telling that to the girl whom he raped and abused and wanted to kill and to a girl whose mother he turned? very sensitive Elena.
Thats what pisses me off about this show - the fact taht its treated like Elena was RIGHT in that situation.
This show encourages society to slut-shame rape victims. From that scene, it seems that Elena outright went on and said that whatever happened was because Caroline came on too hard on Damon, blah blah blah. What kindof shit is this?

I am not sure if Elena has full knowledge over what happend with Caroline TBH. . . It seems that way at least. Caroline have never ever talked about it with anyone ever.

I think she knows enough.I mean it was she who discovered those bite marks on Caroline's body in family ties and Caroline sobbed in Elena's arms, she was freaking shaking when Elena found her after Damon tried to kill her that epi.Hell she even wanted Damon arrested for all that he had done to Caroline.Idk why these writers completely side step this rape and abuse issue.like address it once and it won't be raised again but they don't and everyone keeps drawing their own conclusions which are usually wrong(especially the Damon stans)Posted 12/7/2012 2:39:07 PM #

Meh If I like ONE thing of what I am hearing, its the supposed myth arc of this season (A powerless shrewd dude manipulating everyone to unleash some ancient evil). That sounds far more fresh than last season's esther/originals/afuckingtree trainwreck.
Of course the show will fuck it all up and its just a rehash of the same old (villain X is searching for mcGuffin Y and he needs to perform ritual Z with persons A, B and C to release M) pattern that every season followed to boring death already, but at least the approach from the sound of it is fresh-er.

srsly @BN why don't you just WATCH the show if you're so concerned about what happens in it lol.Posted 12/7/2012 3:03:47 PM #

@BN, that's actually what i wanted to discuss in this thread , other plot points in this episode not the love triangle since there's already a thread , multiple actually, for this. I find that when the writers focus on their main story and let the romance play around the main story, the show is usually better. That's actually the problem I have with a lot of supernatural shows these days, because when the plot focuses too much on romance the characters tend to become too selfish, which isn't a bad thing, but they reach a point where it's too much for me to handle.Posted 12/7/2012 3:27:28 PM #
