Yes there's a Fell family.
Also known as family of fodder characters destined to die to the point that fell cahraqcters get killed th e same ep they are introduced.
"In the books, Meredith is Elena's best friend from the beginning, and she has a very interesting, intriguing relationship with Alaric," Plec says. In fact, Meredith and Alaric do have a romantic relationship in the books. "It's fun to be able to take that character and expand her into a new possible love interest for Alaric, who of course has had his hard knocks. He deserves a little love in his life again."What the fuck, woman? So, she just said that the only thing Book and TV Meredith will have in common is the relationship to Alaric?
Is TV Meredith's last name Fell? As in Fell's Church? I think that's what one place in TVD is called. Is that just the books though? I don't remember. And if there is a place in the show called Fell's Church (even though I'm pretty sure that's just that's the name of the town in the books): will she be connected to it>The town in the books is called Fell's Church. I remember Honoria Fell's ghost in the 3rd book.

Yes, While books did not focus too much on Fell family side, its implied by both LJ Smith and the books that Fell family has a lot ot do with on why it all happens in Fell's Church and why that town is so "attractice" supernaturally.

Pretty much yes. Episodes next have scenes like her arguing with her ex boyfriend and shit like that. She has nothing from the REAL Meredith, sadly.
Thank YOu Plec, For your sexism. This almost feels like Supernatural now.
