    I agree with kitanishi, i watch tvd and i really like it, but i can see a lot of similarities, (even stefan dressing like angel!) but if you wanna be good at anything you gotta take from the best!

    I'd say threads like this are created because of ignorance :P

     

    Some poor innocent fangirl/fanboy can't accept the fact that the show she supposedly loves(TVD) is neither original nor "the best", so comparisons done can draw her/him insane.

     

    Most of people going against such comparisons have never seen the show, and can't realize the similarities, however having an inborn fangirl instinct to defend what they count as "good"(even if its not best).

     

    People like it or not, Whedon has created a masterpiece and anything that has to do with vampires will either be compared to BTVS, reference BTVS or both. :)

     Clockwork Orange, 

    Sucks. I like his "The Shining" and "Full Metal Jacket". But i hate "Clockwork Orange". No arguing Stanley Kubrick is a genius. This is only an opinion, and it might be irrational, but i simply can't stand it. I would poke my eyes out just to stop watching. . .(or just leave the room, whatever is fastest)

    Movies such as "Legends of the Falls", "Into the Wild", "Fight Club" and "The Life of David Gale", as well.
