Comparisons w/ Twilight

   Some stuff in this show seems like Twilight totally ripped it off or vice versa but there are some distinct differences as well. Seems like a good topic to discuss.

   Last night for example, apparently in VD land, the newly-created vampire must suck before he/she can truly become one of the undead. I don't think that's the case in the Twilight saga, is it?

   also Edward is not weakened by not feeding on humans i don't think, he's just always tempted to, b/c they taste better ... naturaly

   i wonder if elena will want to be made a vampire soon, like Bella in Twilight.

   I guess not yet because she's not with Stefan, but she will be at some point. i hope!

   I'm gonna say something crazy, but:i find paul wesley hotter than robert pattinson!

   paul wesely is hot but theres something about him that makes him less attractive than robert pattinson. his head kinda looks too big for him or something idk but theyre definitely hot and love them both

   Why does everyone keep saying Vampire Diaries is a rip off of Twilight? These books came first! It's so annoying!

   I must say I love Paul Wesley.. I almost think he looks more like a vampire than Rob Pat.. I love Twilight but I also found a new love for this series as well.  I don't think they are knock offs either.  If you read the novels to vamipire diaries people will def. see a huge difference between the two!! They are both awesome!! I also love that they are making the T.V series diff. from the books!! I think the actors are doing a great job!

   i love twilight because it's about more than just vampire. will there be werewolves and creatures on vampire diaries? does anyone know?

    I think all this VD is a rip off, just can't be. The books have been around way before Twilight ones. Twilight fans (i am one too, but i prefer VD) just can't acept Stephanie might have done some 'research'. Although twilight is also cool...
