    HFG, yes? I don't know why you're getting all defensive about this whole thing, since the TV show and the books and everything else about vampires are by definition FICTION, so your comment about my judging what a vampire is like even though I've never seen one is redundant. But yes. I am judging. I am judging on folklore and Bram Stoker and Anne Rice.

    Yes, I do know what a diamond is, thank you very much. They were originally carbon and were formed in the earth's mantle, almost 200 kilometers beneath the surface of the earth, and takes up to three billion years to form. So unless your 'scientific explanation' explains that vampires were indeed formed in the earth's mantle 200 kilometers beneath the surface of the earth and takes up to three billion years to form - creation story, anyone? - then I would conclude that your scientific explanation isn't really scientific and is in fact, not much of an explanation.

    And I applaude you for that original attack on my intelligence. Several times, indeed. AND putting words in my mouth. Bravo, indeed.
