wow, they're really playing with us I swear! the whole dancing thing and no "physical contact". And the song that played when damon and elena were dancing. seriously, that just hints to a possibility of something happening and then we question whether it's all in our minds. because skip to the next scene and it's all elena pawning over stefan. but seriously I hope the next ep damon and elena go further. I want her to feel what's really there and for her to admit that yes, she does feel a deeper connection to damon even if she still loves stefan more for now.

I'm for Damon and Elena, Elena and Stefan, heck even Damon and Bonnie as long as it makes good viewing. From looking at the poster, Elena kinda looks a bit uneasy in, as though it's against her will. Who knows. Damon and Elena will have a romance eventually, I just hope they do it some justice and let it be justifiable for the Stefan/Elena shippers, and live up to what the die hard damon/elena shippers are waiting for.
I do think though, whatever the ending in the Vampire Diary novels, the show will play true to that. While the series strays a hell of a lot from the novels, I think the endgame will play true to the novels in terms of the Damon/Elena/Stefan triangle. I do think Stefan and Elena are soul mates, especially after watching "History Repeating" and that ending montage but Damon and Elena have a spark that needs to be explored, and we can't have Stefan and Elena together all the way through, so bring it on :) I hope the writers write it well.
And just food for thought, Ian Somerhalder is in his early thirties, playing a guy in his early to mid twenties, I wonder how long they'll be able to pass that off. Maybe that's why they're condensing themes from the books and straying so much (aside from production issues and keeping it edge on seat) because a seven season series wouldn't be easy to do.

Stefan and Elena may be the endgame couple but I think that Damon and Elena have so much chemestry even more than she with Stefan, and only for that and the fact that they love each other is why I love to see them together at end. And Stefan is so weak for Elena I hate how the evil side of him takes control so easely and with Damon its the oposite, he might be a cold blood killer but he is like that because he wants to be and he controls himself, he controls the evil inside of him so I think that is safer for Elena.

i hate how ppl say if damon and elena happen damon wouldnt take it serious honestly damon was serious with katherine he waited 150 yrs for her so when damon realizes he loves elena he will take it serious but i think he is going to try to fight it for awhile so he doesnt get hurt again
