Is Stefan really over Katherine?

   I found this from a recent interview with Ian:

   Now knowing how she betrayed him, can you anticipate how Damon will react to seeing her again? IS: I honestly don't know, because I haven't really spoken to Kevin about how she becomes intertwined back into this for both Damon and Stefan. Because, don't kid yourself, Stefan is just as in love with Katherine as Damon was, if not more. I mean, they both see her faults and sort of despise her in this weird way, but they both are so wrapped up in her at the same time. You know, she was their Creator. She was their lover. They thought she was their soulmate. She embodied all these roles for them, so when she comes back, I think it's going to knock the hell out of both of them. I personally can't wait until Katherine makes an appearance on the show, but what will this do to stelena? Plus, a person in another thread made a good point. Why did Stefan keep Katherine's pic this long? How does he really feel about that evil, narcissistic b****?

   I personally can't wait until Katherine makes an appearance on the show, but what will this do to stelena? Plus, a person in another thread made a good point. Why did Stefan keep Katherine's pic this long? How does he really feel about that evil, narcissistic b****?

   I'm saying this for both brothers: they each talk like they don't care (damons bitch comment etc) but I think both have held onto the memories in hope of long awaited answers. I don't doubt that stefan does love elana, and that Damon cares/loves her but I feel katherine equals the elephant in the room for both relationships. We can only wait and see how they react, it will for sure make for some good tv.

   I don't doubt that Stefan loves Elena, but one thing I do know about human nature, denial is a bitch. Some unresolved feelings could be there and it has to be addressed. I'm not sure how I would feel if I were Elena after seeing that pic of Katherine.

   Katherine obviously is cunning, seductive, and dangerous. She knows how to wrap guys around her devious little finger and it will be interesting to see how Stefan and Damon deals with it.

   I love Julie and Kevin because they know how to make things realistic. In an interview Julie went step by step talking about how Damon's feelings will evolve with Elena. It is a process  and they are taking their time with it and that makes fantastic drama. And with Stefan, it is a mystery, because no one can truly predict his reaction when she shows up.

   I agree though. Katherine is that elephant in the room and I don't think ignoring her will resolve anything.

   WESLEY: Yeah. It’s kind of like being in a relationship, you think you’re completely in love, you’re infatuated, and then you meet another person and you go, “Oh my God, what was I thinking?” And it’s kind of like that but a little different because that person also gave me eternal life. His obsession with Katherine was something that was finally broken by this human. And not for a 160 years, no one could break this obsession. And that’s why he would die and breathe for Elena for the rest of his life. For the rest of her life, I should say.

   This is most certainly relevant. How could I forget this quote by Paul? But even with this, Katherine hasn't been around all this time. Stefan still has to come face to face with her, and that will be the true test of whether or not he no longer feels anything for her.

   Julie said as the series went along, Elena and Stefan was going to hit some serious rough patches. I wonder if this will be a factor. But Katherine is like this force they don't want to screw with.

   She is the devil. lol

   I think they will overcome it though. And in the end Stelena will pull through. As I've stated before, they are the foundation of this show.
