    Elena/Damon topped that out of nowhere.

    At least Dan as generic and utterly annoying he was did not snap Blair's brother's neck in front of her, nor rape her friend. At least that show still somewhat limits the love interest count.

     

    Unlike TVD where everyone is in love with Elena,.
