Katherine always finds her way back to Damon...

   She may say it's all Stefan or that she loved them both...and she may be keeping an eye on Stefan and Klaus...but deep down she always finds her way back to Damon...

   First and last scene of 3x03: DATHERINE!!!! She's feeling nostalgic and missing home...who does she call? DAMON!! Cause deep down...Damon's her home...

   Everytime something happens, Katherine goes after Damon...it's no longer Damon chasing Katherine...in a way it's Katherine who's chasing Damon now...

    

   2x01, she goes to see Damon after telling Stefan that's she's came back for him...

   2x04, she waits for Damon outside the Grill after spending the day with Stefan...

   2x15, she goes to see Damon after getting out of the tomb...

   2x16, she could have spent the day with Stefan, but she spends it with Damon. Even goes to him when it's time for bed...tries to seduce him. She gets hurt, and who does she shout for: DAMON!

   2x22, she saves his life...even if she did owe him for the vervain, she could have left, but she decided to save him...deep down, she doesn't want to see him dead...

   And 3x03, she calls DAMON...ok, there isn't really anyone else she could have called...but she still called Damon. She could have found out what was happening by sending someone to Mystic Falls or any other way..but she called Damon.

    

   Damon wants nothing to do with her, yet she still goes back to him. If she didn't want Damon as she says, why would she even bother with him?

   YES!! YES!! As much as he needs her, I think she needs him a lot more. He's her home, her safety spot. She just doesn't want to see it...

   well she is helping steffy now, so we shall see if she is the one who tells stefan about the de kiss... trying to get him to go back home, and it does the opposite...

   Katherine and Damon would make no sense. Them re-hooking up would be soap-opera level bad.  It makes as much os sense As Liz/Steffan or Bonnie/Damon. It serves no actual purpose and without even starting feels forced.

   Also that happening would undo any and all character development Damon got and Damon and Caroline are two characters to ever get character development ever in this show.

    

   So yeah, it would kill the show.
