      I'm pretty sure he's related to hayley too. Maybe Originals will explore his biological father thing. Its most definitly Caroline. I'm confusled though. I'm starting to think more and more that something really bad happens to her in 5x18 or 5x19.

      I think you read that article wrong, they're speculating that the "explosive return" is Kat, but I think it's Elijah. As for Klaus I think it's either a random nobody or Caroline. His show starts in April and that spoiler says the scene is in March

      I don't think it's character assassination. To me sex is just sex and doesn't have to involve emotions. Caroline said as a vampire, she's horny all the time. Klaus, a hot powerful vampire, is constantly hitting on her. Obviously she would be tempted to get a taste. What if she gets into a fight with Tyler or breaks up with him. As a rebound, she could have a one night stand with Klaus. It's not like they're running off to Vegas to get married.
