A few weeks back, Deadline (first site to report the spinoff btw, even before Carina 'I'm bffs with Julie Plec' Mackenzie) wrote a theory/rumor that they originally signed Tonkin because they couldn't reach a deal with Holt. Not sure I buy it though. With Morgan and Gillies already on board, I find it hard to believe that Claire was playing hard to get and didn't say yes immediatelly.
I think they wanted to keep on her TVD. Like she would cross back and forth between the two. Reason being her and Matt scenes. don't shoot me lol. Its just there's been quite bit of hinting (even recently) with the two of them. Maybe she wanted a more secure thing? She should've been signed on as a lead instead of 2 randoms (Camille and Hayley). recurring is better than nothing though :D
Is she going to be recurring? I was under the impression that she signed to be a regular, leading character after all.
oh nvm. It was regular. I mixed up my "r's". They way I understoot it she's not a lead in the way that Klaus, Elijah, Camilla and Hayley are though. Like they're main leands and she's a regular. Is that right??
I think Claire was already signed. They announced Pho first because announcing Claire would have gave it away too much? And with Kol gone, I doubt they were planning to cast only two Originals. They probably were skeptical on keeping at least one O on TVD though
I still can't believe they killed Kol.like is he not good looking enough for Julie or what*sigh
The last time the Salvatores had a party at their house, Caroline got laid.
Did the monthlong delay make that much of a difference though? It's not like they waited until the season finale for the announcement.
They probably were skeptical on keeping at least one O on TVD though
I wonder if they contemplated keeping Claire on TVD and use her as a glue to tie the two shows together.
But a show named "The Originals" with only two Originals would be pretty lame.
