I wouldn't compare Angel & Buffy to klaus and Caroline. Unless Klaus had a spell on him that gave him a soul! Lol yes Angel without a soul was ruthless but it was also a good reason for him to be forgiven.Spike and Buffy was a build up and it gradually happened. Spike started to earn some respect from her friends & family. Also Buffy from the beginning was a hypocrite & had a darkside to her. Caroline doesn't have a darkside & hasn't been much of a hypocrite. This is why I'll loose all respect for my favorite character if she even considers going out with Klaus. She just broke up with Tyler & he should sort of still be in the picture. Just like she kept matt in the picture when she rejected Tyler the first time. Plus there's too many things Caroline has said to Tyler that would make her the biggest hypocrite on the show. Here's some examples. Your on team klaus now & you can't be trusted, my problem is that you've been sired, how can I be with you when your sired to him, he's the bad guy Tyler. Plus Klaus has done so many horrible things to her friends & her. If she's really a good person. Caroline should be furious that Klaus is trying to hit her after what he did to Tyler! She should be thinking he's got some nerve & should tell klaus to back off! She should take advantage of klaus's feelings for her & use it against him. She should not stand by and do nothing to possible help Tyler. She should fight for Tyler especially when he's fighting for her. So I can't be with you Tyler because your sired to him. But it's okay for me to be with him! Now you see why it would ruin her character. If she feels anything for klaus while Tyler transforming everyday to be with Caroline! Er You posted this already in Forwood thread. (And I hate this forum so if this post gets cluttered up I swear) It's just getting more annoying to see people complain about Klaroline just as much as watching people call it their OTP. I don't really think any Buffy relationships is a good comparison. I think several fangirls are just hoping it will develop like those relationships did. Other than spuffy Klaroline's been compared to Delena a lot too. (vomit)
I guess what I'm saying is that no, I may not entirely ship this, but I'm not jumping on the I-will-be-done-with-this-show/they're-ruining-caroline wagon. To one person bonding with Klaus will ruin Caroline, to another it will make her more awesome than she is now. These are opinions and I respect both. Although I'd be contradicting myself by saying this, I think the Klaroline argument is pointless, and for these reasons:
If anything it's a shallow ship. Both actors/characters are hot, and both actors had enough chemistry to make crackship/shallow fangirls "go down with this ship" in 5 minutes.
- It is another Beauty & the Beast appearance, which is what many fans see in Delena (if you've been on tumblr too much like me you'd see annoying gif sets of belle and beast mirroring damon and elena) Delena being the show's most popular ship (ugh) proves that people love these annoying B&TB themed pairings, meaning it shouldn't be that shocking that people ship KC.
- it's being ridicuously compared to spuffy and delena because they think it will slowly develop that way. But to those who already see them that way, well they're stupid.
- this is basically a crackshippers dream come true. the photo's of them dancing were leaked the very night of the ep with her birthday. Klaroline and Klaus and Caroline were trending on twitter. It's just pointless to throw logic on a crackship because the shallow shipper isn't going to stop.
- people will ship anything. Kolena, Kolorine and Kolonnie already exist. No point in discussing non-existant ships if these fangirls ship anything out their ass.

This comparison could only be made by someone who is on drugs.
Angel was actually ruthless and badass, unlike Klaus.

He was not. "forgiven". With or without a soul, it doe snot change what Angel is and what he is capable of. He does not need to loose a soul to do what he did as Angelus. He only needs a drive and reason to wish to do so and gazillions of times pretty much you can';t discern him form "Angelus".
He is ALWAYS distrusted and no one really go to trust him forever. Cordy came closest and still was quite paranoid.

The only one who actually respected him at the end was Buffy. Willow did have the whole friendly relationship with him, but everyone else would not hesitate to off him for smallest things.
The main point however is not them, but Buffy.

Buffy sure had good goals and talked about being just and right and etc, but through the years even she herself stopped believing those words when she was forced to face up with who and how she really is - something others, as well as viewers saw glimpses of as early as season one.
In essence buffy is one of darkest and most complex and most morally gray buffyverse characters.
Buffy had an ENORMOUS ego and superiority complex. She was VERY manipulative and VERY flawed person, who essnetially held herself above the entire list of priorities of hers. She is prone to hate, rage, self-justification and using others. She was someone FITTING Spike, even if she would deny it. She was the main bitch in charge of everything only rivalled by Cordelia in bitch-dom, but far outranking Cordelia in both her darker sides and complexity of character.
Buffy IS one of the most awesome and badass and interesting characters EVER written and a top favorite character of mine FOREVER, BUT! She is anti-thesis of Caroline, who is quite selfless, nice and innocent girl.
AND THATS why those comparisons are ridiculous
Hooking caroline up with Klaus would completley and utterly ruin the last decently written part of this show - Caroline.
