Ok so if you read the books you know that Meredith it not on the show. For those of you who dont know she was other one of Elena`s best friends and was a very intersting character. but i wonder why they did not put her on the show? i mean she had a lot of stuff to tell. i mean she did crazy things to help and bring back elena and she dated and marryed alaric .. and lots of other stuff! dont you think she should come in season 2?

Budget maybe? I guess they needed to pick one best friend and Bonnie was more interesting because she was a witch. Also in the books Caroline and Elena used to be best friends, yet in the show they start off as best friends? Weird.

maybe they'll introduce her after? there were rumors a while back that they were going to cast katie cassidy as meredith, but that turned out to be false.. but maybe they'll cast someone else

I think that now that Jennas dead (WHICH IM STILL PISSED ABOUT!) they will adventually bring in Merediths character. Who knows. But i hope thatm in season 3 they show Alaric mourning Jenna, because i freaken adored them.

I'm pretty sure they'll introduce her character somewhere along the road. People die so much on the show and they can't keep doing that unless they introduce new characters that actually stick around.

I fear for the moment they bring in meredith.
Considering how badass she was in the books and just what kind of track-record this show has with female characters...ugh...
