Movies/shows like Vampire Diaries

If you like Vampire Diaries, what other shows and films do you recommend?  I really miss Blood Ties, for one, and True Blood is another favorite.  As far as films, I just saw a really cool paranormal called 1313: Wicked Stepbrother (lots of hot guys and a similar theme of sibling rivalry:)

    • BTVS - Obviously since well, Bufyf The Vampire Slayer is first "unofficial" adaptation of TVD books. Joss Whedon took the basic main characters of TVD books and some of the relationships and created his own universe with that. (Buffy=BookElena/ShowKatherine, Willow=BookBonnie,Xander=BookMatt,Giles=BookAlaric, Cordelia=BookCaroline/BookMeredith,Darla/Drusilla=BookKatherine, Angel=Stefan,Spike=Damon, etc). Not to mention that Show-Wise, TVD steals A LOT and i mean A LOT
    • Moonlight - Same main idea of main character saving his love interest when she was younger, Coraline is bassically a superior version of TVDShowKatherine, similar concept about Originals.
    • Forever Knight - The show where the whole Vampire-on-redemption-path archetype was born. Also one of first mainstream vampire tv shows.

Movie-wise its harder(apart the usual twilight comparisons to current tvd season)

    •  Interview With a Vampire I would recomend for anyone who liked Elijah's scenes in mid S2. Elijah before he turned into naive wimp, had that whole feel of that movie's Lestat, etc.

Blood Ties was awesome in the beginning, but confusing at the end.

The human police man looked like David Hasselhoff. And the vampire was Lestat.

Vampire Knight (an Anime series) has this triangle between two vamps and a dumb girl, too, just in another place. Didn't watch it tho.

Being Human (the UK one) was really good, too. But after the last season finale, I'll probably never watch it. xD

Well it depends what kind of vierwer you are i suppose. I certainly wouldn't recommend it, but if you like unrealistic sociopathic love stories like the main "triangle" of TVD, watch Twilight:)

If you're interested in witchy stuff, you could watch The Covenant :) It was rather popular among viewers (mostly teens), though I never really found it that good. There's also The Craft if you like hard core 'black magic'.

HEX tops the witchy stuff genre any way one looks at it. Its such a superior, badass and dark focus solely on witchcraft that no one can top it.

Be happy. Because its bassically "twilight, the animated version"...

The Covenant is okay, something to watch when you're bored. Forget all the logic etc. and just enjoy hot boys. But oh well, what to expect from a movie with Chace Crawford in it ...

I HEARED a bit of it and fucking hell, it's basically "[XY] is a vampire, what should I do? I'm so sad, what happened to my parents, there's this guy also, what should I do, mew mew mew" Maybe not talk to yourself for the whole time?! And the male characters are the same!

Its actually worse. The main love interest is actually her brother, but its okay~ because thay are vampires.
