New Plec interview
-
To be quite honest, I don't even know whether this interview has been posted yet, due to the massive influx of new pointless threads and spam, but just in case, here it is :)

So it is pretty much stuff we already know just in different words. To me the only real spoiler was that Tyler will (by the looks of it) possibly try and fight the sired thing for Caroline? Who knows, kinda hoping that happens though, because I definitely don't want to see him go all evil aka the writers ruin Forwood aka best couple on the show.
Pretty sure the Stefan vs Klaus battle will last like an episode? Maybe two? Because we know soon Finn comes along. Though I am looking forward to it neverthless. I may be in a minority (or a majority I honestly have no idea anymore) but I really enjoy the Stefan and Klaus interaction. Whether it is bromance or fighting or anything really. I think Wesley and Morgan have great chemistry. Definitely looking forward to that, even if it does last an episode. Still hopefully entertaining. I am also hoping, in the way of Stefan, that they don't turn him completely good in the next few episodes. I want this journey to continue to the finale, maybe even past that. And when he does eventually turn "good", I really hope the characters react in a realistic manner. I don't want an all is forgiven thing.
Damon and Elena is derrrr, pretty sure that is going to go on for the rest of the season. My bet is a kiss in the finale, calling it now. The whole storyline between them can get a little prepetitive in my opinion. Each episode just seems to be find ways to kill Klaus, see Klaus's new diabolical plan this week, side storyline for the week, Damon and Elena "touching" moment, cliff hanger, end. So I am guessing up until the finale we will keep on seeing more Damon and Elena forced touching moments which will bring them to a kiss.
Actually excited for Bonnie's storyline. I feel they can do SO much with this character, but constantly push her aside as nothing and only bring her into the mix whenever is necessary. She is kind of like Kat in that way, except that Kat has already served her purpose, whereas I feel like Bonnie still needs to be used. I really hope her storyline doesn't end up being about saving Elena etc. I want to learn more about witches and her freaking family. Excited as hell for this.
Not really sure what to make of Alaric's storyline yet. I'll wait and see for that one :)

already comented on it when flora posted it on tumblr. Needless to say this interview was shti as others were.
So bassically just like everyone sane feared, Damon is her rebound guy and the first thing she does when she looses one mass-murdering boyfriend is to jump to another one who snapped her brother’s neck, banged her mother and identical twin ancestor, caused Bonnie’s grandma’s death, was raping and abusing Caroline and that nameless thing that was Jenna’s friend and etc? Oh and not to forget, also what? Showed blood down her throat forcefully for a good measure(which was smart thing to do since Elena is idiotic cardboard who is “too holy” to be alive, but still that was a dick-move)
GROSS, the ENTIRE DES TRIANGLE IS GROSS.
In before “steff gets his carebearism back in few episodes returns to being a bunny eater, anything Robo-Wesley did is forgotten(since hey its not Steffie, its this whole ripper-stuff and oh he had feelings turned off and oh he is not at fault) and we have OMG Elena-is-conflicted-with-love-triangle” plotline…
DE in itself is disappointing. Damon is the Chuck Bass of the new generation of fanbase that grew up with Twilight and the whole “abuse and stalking is so coool and sooo romantic schtick”. And Elena is just a blank space that could not make viewers care even if she suddenly grew a second head(not that it would help her that much).
What is irritating is how Plec and KW seem to try to hype every even smallest bit of stuff:
- “OMG DE this will be so epic, you just watch guys!!!11oneone” - Their way of telling that they will share a scene, even if for most of cases it will be boring.
- “OMG Stefan will be so evil this episode, it will be so EPIC, you just watch guys~!!!1111” - Their way of telling us that steff will act like a vampire for a second, do something that entirelly holds no importance nor consequences in neither long nor short run and then cry for half an episode or have some very lame excuse for. And most likely will be heroic and be excused for it(“hey i had no feelings”, “hey that was ripper stuff”, “hey i am an addict”)
- OH MY GOD! SOMEONE WILL DIE!~~ It will be so epic, you just guys watch it!!!!11oneone - Their way of saying that some unimportant extra most of viewers don’t even remember the name off will die and no one will care, nor it will have any consequences (hey Jenna got offed and even about that 100% of characters forgot the next morning, going to their movie business and now she apparently did not even exist)
In all cases it turns out to be either a cheap rip off of a scene or something underwhelming or something entirely and utterly stupid.
As long as forwood stuff is not Tyler being a dick again or getting himself killed or something, I guess that is ONE redeemable factor about this show left.
Can’t they just DROP the whole love triangle plotline. The show would be a million times better if it did not have thousand scenes of Holy Mary Sue Elena “Swan” Gilbert and her two-Edwards love romance storyline as focus in every damn plotline these writers could ever rip-offThink-up…

Oh and bonnie story. Why am I getting Jonah family flashbacks and am suddenly infused with NOT caring?...
Plec and KW think that "first half of season 3 developed Bonnie so much " after all, so I haveno idea how their mind works.

As for miss cardboard - this says it all:

Saw this yesterday or something....
Forwood is going to be okay. It said Tyler is put to the test to prove his love. It wouldn't be a test IF he didn't give a damn about the girl. If someone doesn't care the expression goes out the window. Until the writers actually do something with Forwood to officially fuck it up, I'm not going to assume that it is over.

Good point. Some people around here just come with the lame ass plot device argument. That is laughable since most of the cast are plot devices sacrificed at the altar of Cardboardism. Bonnie, as a character, had a lot of potential when this series started, but the writers chose to screw up. The fact is, on paper, the potential for characters are endless, but it is bad writing that turns a story into a walking contradiction and proverbial punchline.
It would be nice to see Bonnie used as more than just a crutch for Cardboard. Anyways, thanks for posting.

Stefan/Klaus showdown ... I want to be excited but this is Julie Plec.

I agree. I'm not a Bonnie Fan but I probably will be when they finally show something of her character. Does Julie wants us to believe that her parents only got her because she needs to protect Elena?? Poor Bonnie, that's a shitty destiny.Posted 12/2/2011 8:22:00 AM # -

Apparantly she only has a mother because her mother knows something huge about klaus so...yeah....
will be when they finally show something of her character.
Its good to dream but from plec's interviews its quite clear they will just focus on whole love triangle shit even more(hence her saying that it will intensify alot post hiatus) and whole klaus stuff, instead actually developing characters.

Stefan/Klaus showdown ... I want to be excited but this is Julie Plec.
Betting it ends in episode or two in some lame way. Plec thought "klaus mikael showdown" was badass and that klaus "kicked so much ass" that episode...yeah....no idea what goes on iin their minds.

Bonnie, as a character, had a lot of potential when this series started, but the writers chose to screw up.Agreed.
I remember in the pilot, Bonnie was my favourite character. If you look at the pilot and look at her now, it's like two different people. And not the good kind of "two different people" like how it is with Caroline or Tyler etc, but a bad kind. She was actually kind of awesome in the pilot, the only good thing about it for me. She was optimistic, cheerful, happy and pretty interesting. They had a whole ton of potential with her. But then it was like they got bored or something? Because then she had a tiny witch arc (in which we barely saw her fully react to being a witch) which just ended up being a prop for the Damon/tomb storyline. Then she came back and she wasn't happy with Damon or Stefan, which made all the fans hate her even though it was a completely realistic reaction, but even then, she was slowly turning into a prop and it was like she had no personality beside being a witch anymore. Then season 2 her literal and only storyline was protecting Elena, and so far in season 3 it appears to be a repeat. I just want them to give her more of a personality, because strangely enough, she did have one in the pilot, but she just lost those attributes throughout the show and now it is just like "Oh there is a probelm? Bonnie can fix it" Bonnie get's 2 minutes screentime fixing it and leaves. End scene. I really want to learn about her family, and why the hell they haven't been around and/or worried about her. Too many questions with this character, and I really hope the writers expand on her instead of making her the go to girl whenever there is a problem.

Betting it ends in episode or two in some lame way. Agreed aswell, unfortunately. It will just pave way for the next storyline/just a filler until more of the original family is introduced. Just at the very least hoping it might be entertaing :/
