Nina Dobrev, a bad actress?

But the thing is Nina is already at the top. TVD isn't like GG or OTH, the supporting actors cant evolve into the main characters. No matter what Nina will always play the lead role because of the Katherine thing. Which is kind of sad considering there are better actresses and better characters on the show but watever :/

True, true... But I mean this is the first season, there's room to evolve. && although there are better actresses for the part, would they really have the same great chemistry with the rest of cast like Nina does?

Well chemistry is subjective so you can't really judge an actor by that.

She doesn't do an amazing job as Katherine but she plays Katherine better tha Elena. I just thought I'd add a positive for Nina Dobrev in case her fans got angry :)

I think Nina is an amazing actress. Maybe it's just that she doesn't fit Elena's character. She does alright alot of the time, but it's not fitting in my eyes. Although she did an AMAZING job portraying Katherine Pierce, THE BEST CHARACTER ON TVD. xoxo, gossip girl.

Maybe Elena is meant to be protrayed that way? I think she's a good actress - I mean she's juggling both Katherine and Elena at once and she manages to make them seem soo different to each other.
That said, I am starting to get annoyed with Elena herself. Particularly every time she tells Jeremy to stay out of the vampire 'business' for his safety... because you know, it's not like she has a choice to stay out of either, right? She must be a part of it, always. But Jeremy and Bonnie can't help at all!
I'm just glad Jeremy stood up to her a few eps ago and told her she can't tell him what to do anymore. It's not her decision. Good on him.

i love her. she's incredible. that's all. for those of you who think she's lacking in emotion. look at bella aka kristen stewart, no matter what shes going through she always has a hey its monday face on. NINA DOBREV ROCKS =D

I dont think Nina Dobrev is a bad actress, I`m guessing it`s Elena herself. I think the writers put so much emphasis on making her a courageous, independant, strong-willed character that they forgot to give LIFE to her, y`know? Some personality, quirks, awkwardness, a favorite band, flaws, etc. They forgot to make her NORMAL. Maybe that`s the 'stiffness' you sense.Posted 11/7/2010 6:19:02 AM #
