Nina Dobrev, a bad actress?

She is a fine actress. But Elena is just such an unbearable character. . .
Everyone in the show play their roles really well.
You are forgetting Kayla Eweel and Katerina Graham. . . But with Kat it is probably because she never gets any interesting scenes or character.

Guys we can blame the writers all we want. But part of the responsiblity has to be put on the actor. There suppose the be creative and help bring the character to life! Ninas got to throw in suggestions. She's just reading the script.Posted 10/12/2011 10:13:06 AM #

Thats the problem with all the characters actually. So far only P.Wesley and J.Morgan tried to add their own input on their characters into the show (Wesley wanting more gray-morality for steff, for example) . Other actors so far just played their roles sadly. ITs nothing like, let's say shows by Whedon where pretty much every actor participates in the scene creation they act in.

Like Ian is definitely adding to the creation of his character. Same thing with Candice. I actually think she does it naturally. Ian probably does by experience.Posted 10/12/2011 11:06:05 AM #

I would not call Ian adding anything to character lately.
ALl I remember from S2 S3 Ian's acting is his painful tries to get his eyeballs out of the sockets :/
Candice though I agree. Adds a lot of quirks to the character, sadly any vocal input about ehr character most likely gets gushed by plec.

I think most of the actors on tvd are fairly good,and Nina dobrev isn't bad(as shown by her potrayel of Katherine) Paul Wesley is my favourite tho.Posted 10/12/2011 12:19:37 PM #

I think Nina Dobrev is a really good actress :S
I think just her character Elena isn't a person that shows so much emotion
For me she plays Katherine really awesome
