Okay what happened?
As usual, they just want to excuse Elena's actions just like they did with Stef ripper phase and when Klaus compelled him to turn his humanity off. All the blame was on Klaus in the end even when Klaus lifted off the compulsion.Posted 12/2/2012 7:41:26 AM #
Does anyone think this sire-bond is planned?
ANd you know, I really doubt that. At best its something that was in their heads since Mid S3, but not earlier, because that crap came out of nowhere.
It feels like a giant asspull to keep Elena "innocent". But think about it. Elena kept saying that she didn't want to be a vampire bahwah and whatnot.
From interviews, plec sees nothing wrong with Elena's characterizationPosted 12/2/2012 10:23:36 AM #
I wonder they're doing the whole sire thing. Elena already had feelings for Damon, that alone was enough to sustain a storyline. Unless they plan on making this sire bond have other consequences really. Because the way they wrote Elena's actions up to that episode is not enough to constitute a sire bond, when Caroline and Stefan tried to piece it together it seemed a little too far fetched. Which supports the hypothesis that although the sire bond was there, merging it with this story is a bit incredulous and it came out of nowhere.Posted 12/2/2012 2:10:10 PM #
J.P said the sire bond doesn't affect the feelings, sex, emotions etc,so i don't really know where they are going with this. Its supposed to be an obstacle between Damon and Elena but if it doesn't affect the feelings, whats the point really?and wasn't she sired to Damon in the books too?its not like its Jp's original idea or something.
Which supports the hypothesis that although the sire bond was there, merging it with this story is a bit incredulous and it came out of nowhere.and this is the reason of all the Stefan and Caroline hate(not that DE'rs need it really). It really was just out of nowhere.i mean just because Elena agreed with Damon on a couple of things doesn't necessarily mean she is now sired to him.LOL but then again they were just speculating, there is no concrete proof.Posted 12/2/2012 2:19:22 PM #
The way Klaus smiled when Caroline was telling him about Elena changing it's like he knows something about the whole thing and the way he just said 'it will make sense' soon with that smirk like smile of his.Posted 12/2/2012 2:37:24 PM #
Yeah he did know, thats why he said "you'll figure it out eventually".i loved how Caroline figured it out without any more hinting thoh.its like he knows Caroline is smart enough to hold her own with him.lolPosted 12/2/2012 2:43:36 PM #
He said she's more than just a pretty face. It's true. Im proud of my little brainy vampire BarbiePosted 12/2/2012 2:49:00 PM #
Okay so in 4x13 we will meet another hunter with an accent called Vaughn who will have a lot of dirt on Damon to get the upper hand and some woman called Caitlin who knows Proffesor Shane and his motives *sigh* more new people....who'll probably be killed yet again.Posted 12/2/2012 3:09:09 PM #

It was handledi n way better way and sire bonds work in different fashion there. Elena bassically lost her memory and only remembered Damon and Damon, while he did use this to rub it to Stefan, was shown to be feeling increasingly protective over her and guilty over what happened to her(the whole turning thing being his fault, indirectly).
The pairing, as pairing, only got kickstarted when she got her memories back. It was not used to propel them into a fake relationship, it was used to develop Damon and his more vulnerable sides, showing how Elena, in his mind, went from a mere conquest he wanted to acomplish(to hurt stefan) to someone he actually deeply cared about.
The show, just like with every other single plotline they tried to lift from the books, got it completely wrong and created a trainwreck out of it.Posted 12/2/2012 3:21:45 PM #
.i mean just because Elena agreed with Damon on a couple of things doesn't necessarily mean she is now sired to him.
Yes it does mean that.
Elena is infalible holy mary sue who does no wrong.
Damon is never right and always misunderstood wimp.
Steffie is always right knight in shining armor.
but then again they were just speculating, there is no concrete proof.
As I said before they might go the whole "everyone including elena believes its a sire bond, only for it to be revealed that its not, afterward" thing, but that still does not excuse the supposed OOC-ness(Elena randomly jumping damon's bones, etc) of everyonePosted 12/2/2012 3:26:08 PM #
