I've been watching BTVS and I'm now on Season 2 finale. It's getting good, Angel makes for a really good bad guy, kinda like Stefan. I also think Spike is hot and so glad he's teaming up with Buffy, I think it's really sad that Angel killed Miss Calender though...I really liked her and Giles together, they were a cute couple and it was so sad when he broke down and was upset :(

IMO what great or me is about this show is taht problems and events in each season stay relevant. What happens in season 1 or Two or three and so on and so on - it stays there. its not forgotten. Problems are not forgotten, decisions, actions and consequences are not forgotten, guilt and death is not forgotten. And then one can clearly see how certain decisions are shaped by all what has already happened.
Buffy does not just get over what happened in season1 finale, that experience having thoroughly changed her and affecting her decisions, Character don't just forget what Angel or others do after few episodes and everything what is said or done matters.
And Season 2 Finale is still one of my most favorite season finales i have ever seen. Everything that happened through both season boils down and impacts every scene. And from there the show only goes up.

And yes, what happened to Jenny was thoroughly saddening and I applaud the show for it. Whedon managed to quite subtly and emphatically build up her relationships and everything that having her die by the hand of another fan favorite character was highly shocking and intense thing for viewers. And then comes the scene where Giles finds her and everyone's reactions to that, culminating with buffy just sitting there on the ground by the wall completely shocked, confused and broken down and angel smiling wryly.
And then the show does not just forget about the death. after season ends. Characters continue to realisticaly react to what happened and the show remembers that that character was there and died and who that character was.

Cangel is awesome. not as awesome as xanya, witara, wuffy, fuffy, spuffy or willoz, but easily around the level, if not even better than bangel :P

@Kitanishi I thought it was very interesting in the Season 2 finale when Drusilla made Giles think that she was Jenny, so that she can interrogate him. It made it all the more saddening...seeing how relieved he was to see who he thought was Jenny but wasn't her at all.
It was so sad when Angel died, and after he got back his soul too...that's double sad.
Does he ever come back for good? Because he and Buffy were good together...but if he doesn't then does she end up with Spike because he's totally hot and I love the sarcasm. He's reminds me of Damon at times, lol.

I absolutly despised cangel, i could get into all the ships, except for that one. But then again, i also just didn't like Angel tv show, it was never as good as Btvs, but of course that's just my opinion :) @ sarahliz do you really want us to answer all your questions, that would be spoiling the whole series for you ?Posted 9/11/2011 5:54:09 PM #
