@Flora: Yeah I got the feeling that Riley really cared about her though. I think she did care about Riley and she seemed genuinely upset when he left. But i'd have to agree with the assessment that she was not really in love with him. And yeah Dawn...the thought of her really makes me cringe to be honest hahaha

Now I am just so freakin mad that Anya died, she was one of my faves. I agree Buffy cared for Riley though. Dawn no me gusta nuff said, I still lul at Angel being a puppet. LMFAO

I know it's so sad but I thought Riley was cool until things started getting a little weird with him. Riley was just in there as a filler guy. I guess you could call him that anywayRiley is pretty much a rebound guy. . Does she actually ever engage in a relationship with him?Lol. "define" a relationship. If stuff like demolishing the house through hate-sex counts then they had a relationship for sure.

Riley was her human connection. for someone so concerned about humanity as Buffy, Riley was the most human and normal thing she had in her life.

Riley did love her, she never did him, though, and was pretty selfish in even begining that relationship. He gave up everything he had for her and i feel pity for him for how she handled that relationship
