It doesn't feel like 8 years since the beginning right?! I mean, no one has changed! I think Mary was supposed to be 20 years old in the beginning so now she's 26 but I wonder how old matthew is supposed to be...

Matthew in the beginning looks like Baby Matthew. Awww, so cute.
I remember someone once said Mary was 27 and Matthew a little bit older.

Yes 26-27 should be the right age. Based on what was said on the show, in ep.7 of the first season I think, lady rosamund says that this was mary's 4th season. Usually girls came out when they were 17-18 so in 1914 she must have been 21-22 and by the end of season 2 she's 26-27. Matthew should be older but sometimes he's so naive he seems younger than he actually is. I read on a thread somewhere people actually asking if he was still a virgin! lol I wonder if we will find out next year during the wedding night! :)
I hope we get to see Mary and matthews wedding - Yes I really really hope to see it too! They didn't show us sybil's and branson's wedding, so the least they could do is show us their's! I need to see the two of them happy together! They have so few moments together!

Just read a brief article on season 3 and while it doesn't say much there are a couple of good spoliers I wanted to share, in case you haven't read them yet:
Apparently there will be an american invasion on downton abbey as Lady Grantham's relatives will be coming, including her mother who will be played by Shirley MacLaine! YAY! (Elena you were almost right, but instead of mary and matthew going to america, america will come to them lol)
And there will be 2 weddings in season 3! One is definitely mary and matthew!! I wonder who the other couple is though...maybe edith and the old guy...since sybil is already married and so are anna and bates. What other couples are there?

Oh and season 3 will be set in 1920 and 1921 and the drama will cover a period of 18 months in the lives of the crawley family and servants.
Hugo Bonneville who plays the lord of grantham also said that the season will begin a few months after the end of season 2, so we will see life after the war, and that there will be lots of surprises which he couldn't reveal of course.
OMG I can't wait!!!

Yes the article was obviously written by an american, and since they haven't finished watching season 2, they don't really know what happens.
I'm sooo glad we have confirmation that we will see the wedding!! Still I'm curious about the second one though...Hope we will have more spoliers soon since they will be shooting it soon.
I suppose all the american relatives come for mary's wedding. It'll be fun to watch Shirley MacLaine vs. Maggie Smith. That will be hilarious!!

Oh and since season 2 will cover 18 months of their lives it's possible we will see mary and matthew's child!! That would be so cute!
