    OH GOD, the lassie jokes will never get old I feel.

    Also the part that convinced me the main character was cast well(after three eps):

    Also, the title card? Totally rmeinds me of BTVS:

    God damnit love the cinematography and designs in this one. Even promotional art is stylish:

    You know, I only want to watch this show because I know the monster names are german ...

  3. not all of them are german. they broke that tradition with the queen bee episode, by adding some latin/greek words too.

    There was also a podcast with the authors somewhere that apparantly stated that its not the monster names "named in those languages" its the words in those languages developed after monster names by humans.

    It is a great show. I love the "good boy" comment, the look on that other guys face is hilarious :)

  5. new episode is out:

    1. I guess Nick interrupting Monroe the blutbatt is kind of running gag now. Now he interrupted his cello playing  session.
    2. And he has a wolk image on his door to the house :DDD
    3. Captain Renard is badass...of course knowing just WHAT he is, the interactions between him and Grimm Reaper #2  were intriguing. I have to give it to show. They are masking Renard's identity really well so far :D Interesting that Captain Renard knows french language.
    4. So I guess going by the last scene, Bluebeard/Goat/Ziegevolk is going to stay for a while and return. Creepy guy is creepy.

  7. no ide, thats how i say it.

    just looked up and its actually: Blutbad.  Which my german friend says is fitting for a big bad wolf, although i have no friggin idea what the word means.

    Blut = Blood

    Bad = Bath

    So, yeah :)

    And Ziegevolk doesn't make sense, tho

    Because Ziege

    And Volk is Folk/nation etc.

  9. And Ziegevolk doesn't make sense, tho

    considering ziegewolk/bluebeard was actually a goat-like-thing, I'd say it sort-of fits the idea.

    Anywya,so this week has two episodes, one having aired and other airing this evening.

    The one which aired already(a strange modern retelling of Rat Catcher of Hamelin), though,  I count as the best episode so far

    I LOVED how they incorporated the fairy tale into the town( "Von Hamelin Academy", the violin lessons, etc). Also its the most closely and faithfuly adapted so far, with most of bits of the legend being used in right ways.

    The cast finally "clicked" right. EVERYONE. Nick's human partner, their dynamics(the whole pizza scene was LOL), Monroe the blutbad was as always the best out of them all and the refrigerator guy's reaction to Nick being a grimm was hilarious(as well as how refrigerator guy reacted to his wife latter on, lol, her face was PRICELESS).

    Also love the german-word puns they put in like the focus character of the week this week being named "Peter Geiger"

  10. and today we will have the "Three Little Pigs" taking revenge on the "big bad wolf" Eddie Monroe. should be good.
