Any character who is female gets fandom hate from Derek fans in this show.
Some people are actuall offended that Allison dared to screw over "her man" and act independently and actually do stuff.
It seems that teen generation growing up with Bella Swans, Sookies and Elena Gilberts. find the idea of independennt,empowered, strong female characters "slutty" and "angering"...

It's ashame because the writers have done a good job with Allisons character. These teenagers want unrealistic characters that are perfect and dont make mistakes. Teen wolf fans this way and if you want Bella characters TVD and Twilight is over there.Posted 8/1/2012 9:45:11 AM #

Yes the sexism in fanbase is horrible.
Allison for me is everything that Elena will never be. The very basics of character are incredibly similar - you have a normal girl hailing from estranged family of hunters, involved in supernatural romance, being surrounded by supernatural events. However unlike TVD with Elena, Teen Wolf actually allows Allison to be affected by all the horrible things that happen, to develop, to show her darker sides, to be useful, to make decision and not just mope around trying to decide on some love triangle .

@Bored Now, I agree with Allison is one of the reasons I think Teen Wolf is so good. That and it's not a shipping show, Were they randomly pairing characters up just to do it. Apparently she a dumb bitch for wanting to get payback for her mother, because Derek had a reason to bite her. She also fool for not being able to tell that her Grandfather is lying, She a dumb bitch that needs to die. That what they say at least

Also fangirls are aware of their hypocrisy, they just don't care. There's jokes on tumblr where they humorously admit to wanting the girl characters dead whenever they do the same thing as the hot douche villain or hero.Posted 8/2/2012 3:35:40 AM #

The comparison fits.
Allison and Elena have pretty much very similar character beginings and the surrounding plot around them. The difference being that Teen Wolf actually counts Allison as a character and develops her into something fascinating while TVD well...duh.
A lot of people said that and I will say it again - TW is what TVD could have been

In this case, believe me, no they are not.
Example: "I am not misogynist or sexist or whatever, but Allison is annoying slutty bitch and should learn some manners and be put into place"
That does not sound very "self-aware".
