Ot:the mortal instruments series

  1. i agree, angelina jolie should play clary and craig the male lead.

now now, I do not expect an all-A-list cast for a simple teen-movie. But at least some high-level pedigree is expected. So far Lena Headley seems to be the most profesional cast member out of entire cast, while everyone else either are REALLY horrible( J>Campbell) or pretty much unknown no ones.

Even TwilightII, also known as Hunger Games, had more profesional cast.

THis(mind you i have no idea what this is, but I will guess some supernatural romance stuff) so far only really has Lena Headley and maybe Jarred Harris. Everyone else are either very fresh, horrible or tv stars.

Writing staff does not seem to be any better:

    - The guy who directed the AWFUL 2010 remake of Karate Kid and pretty much nothing else.

    - A tv show writer who wrote for a total of (!) ONE show.

and well kitty i don't know what you want me to say

I'm sorry the cast and staff of a movie based on a book series you have not read and don't plan to isn't up to your satisfaction

The writing staff inspires no confidence. There's total of zero of people who created anything decent in the writing staff.

The source material is irrelevant. THe source material could be BRILLIANT( i would not knoW) and the movie could still fail because of horrible writing team.

The movie could still end up being good, you can't really judge a movie until you see it.We don't know what their work will be like for this movie.

oh and i found a better summary Elena(kind of)

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy? This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . . Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

I had at least ~20 adaptations of things I love very much let me down, TVD included, call me a bit jaded, but the pedigree behind this movie does not sound any way promising.

    Seriously.

    Karate Kid.
