Ripper Stefan is just so much better than the old one I think! He looks more badass than Klaus...

True bloods not a "must watch" but if you like you vampire fantasy bloody (bloodier), then yeah, check it out.
If you like cool bad guys who "rip", yeah. It has a lot of fun, quirky gore, like the juice box thing...

Not taking in concideration he have been hunting, killing and eating people for 2 months. . . If this season permier was taking place a day or two after the incidents in MF, then yes, it would probably need a bit of it. But he have been gone for 2 entire months. That's almost as long as S1&S2 lasted all together. . . That is true, however we must remember that for quite a while there he was plotting against Klaus while in his service. He was protecting the people her loved etc. Remember in season 1 when he lost control, but he still cared for the people he loved and Elena? I'm guessing it was kind of like that for the first month with Klaus. He was probably addicted to blood and all that but still plotting against Klaus for Elena and Damon. His addiction to blood however would have definitely started to take over during his later time with Klaus, I reckon in the second month would have been when he started to let himself go a bit more. So then when we saw him again, he was MOSTLY gone, like 90% gone, however there was still a tiny bit in there of Stefan. I think that last scene was needed, simply because now we as the auidence know where he is at. We know he is mostly gone, however not fully. IF that scene had not been in there, I wouldn't I wouldn't know for sure whether he is fully gone or not. However, the question now is, how long will it take him before he goes completely of the edge, does not care about Elena and/or Damon or anyone really.
I'm hoping by the end of episode 3 or the end of episode 4. I don't have a doubt in my mind, that we he does go completely of the edge, it will be the cliff hanger for the episode. I really do hope that this is a season arc, I just think that if they could carry this out effectively for an entire season, season 3 would probably be easily in the running for my favourite. I also hope that while he is evil, he is EVIL. Like full on dead straight terrifying so that anytime any character has a scene with him, you're scared for the other character. I also want him, like others, to kill Matt. Harsh? Yes. But effective? Very much so. I need him to kill someone of importance. Andie, although people suddenly like her now that she is dead, was not important enough. I'm hoping Matt. Defintiely not Jeremy, because if he killed Jeremy, I just couldn't see a way the show could repair Stefan and Elena's relationship. I also think it would be cool however if he played mind games. Like creepy but awesome mind games with one of the characters, not Elena - that would just be expected, but like someone that we wouldn't expect. Like Bonnie or Caroline. It's pretty obvious that I just want a reallly bad Stefan.

Or if instead of calling Elena, we saw him find her in contacts, then crush his phone, seeing him turn around and walk away at a low angle. That would then lead us knowing he is completly evil. . .

Exactly... Can't have him killing Elena or anybody to close to him or close to the audience. I don't see how he's a joke if he's actually ripping people's heads off.
