After 4 deaths in the previous episodes of The Vampire Diaries, of course, fans start to really worry too much for their favourite characters. It seems that none of them is safe. But can this be that Damon will not survive this season? Yes, it hurts to think about it. But TVD is known for its plot twists, from which we feel dizzy. Is one of the holy trinity doomed ? ohemgeeitscoley: Can we expect THE RETURN to the "Vampire Diaries"? That would be just awesome! How about a special return to the finals? This will be done. aka_savannah: will the bite of a werewolf kill my poor heart-broken Damon? Knowing how everything happens in the tv shows, and that the channels do not allow the producers to kill the leading male characters, we'll go ahead and say ... no, Damon won't die from the bite of a werewolf. lauren_delena: Is there any news about the Delena in the finals? Will they finally kiss? Let's just say ... because of the fact that Damon has started to go crazy because of the bite of a werewolf, he can do and say anything. Bets are made, and anything can happen when crazy vampire is on the loose!
so it means that no more death more more DELENA hopefully;)
As for the first point about the fact that someone may return I think they may be talking about someone who has been inactive and sort-of not around for the past few episodes which they may be talking about Katherine and am almost postive about my theory. The second point in which Julie Plec mentions if Damon is going to die because of the WEREWOLF BITE highlight the words WEREWOLF BITE because she never said Damon wasen't going to die only the fact that he wasen't going to die from a werewolf bite. And we all know something ironic is going to happen in the finale and could it perhaps be the fact that Damon is cured only to be killed by something else entirely? As for the kiss like we have heard from spoilers theire will be a scene that us viewers have been expecting and Im guessing thats the kiss scene and I have a feeling Elena will return the kiss CLAIMING it is out of pity when in reality she actually does have feelings for Damon. Only 2 more days to go till the finale. Bittersweet for sure.
No, it does not mean there's no death.
It means that :1) Damon won't die, so that means they are using this whole marketing to cover up some other death.
2) There will be paralels with THE RETURN episode(the season 2 premiere was titled that)
Well, the death, from what I've gathered, it's Jeremy.
And I also think Damon is seeing Elena as Katherine and try to kiss her.
Oh, how I would roll on the floor laughing, if he kisses her and Elena actually enjoys it and at the end he whispers 'Katherine'. Think Elena would so deserve it.

PW: Will this finale set up the events of season three the way "Founder's Day" set up season two?
Nina: It does. There’s not just one – there’s two or three kind of big twists that change the course of everyone’s lives, and they’re unexpected. It affects Damon & Elena hugely. It effects Stefan more than anyone would have imagined. Jeremy’s life is just completely turned around, and almost confusing – you’ll see why soon enough. But it initiates these storylines that will flourish in season three.
Uh oh...Jeremy is soooo dead :/
I agree with everyone saying that Jeremy is going to die, but I have other thoughts: maybe Bonnie dies too. Thata would totally crush Elena even more.
and another possibility: what if Katherine dies too? and that affects Stefan more than anyone could imagine, bringing doubts about his feelings for Elena and opennig the door for Delena. I would love that.

Does Jenna's death symbolize getting rid of the adults on the show to force the kids to grow up?
Plec: That's a tough one because by no means do we think there shouldn't be parental figures on this show. Some of the parents are our most colorful and vivid characters. Elena (Nina Dobrev) began the series having just lost her parents and as an orphan and that is part of what defines her. Along the road she has found her birth mother, discovered the identity of her birth father and yes, had a surrogate guardian in Jenna, but when it's all said and done this is a girl who has experienced so much profound loss and that journey is continuing for her. It's all part of who she is and it's rough and it's brutal, but we want to take Elena to the next place. Now she's going to be in her own way a parent to Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and she's going to be the adult in the family and that's all going to be a part of the road that we're sending her down.
So Jeremy is not going to die.
