     Between the Originals probably leaving at the end of the season and Caroline being a shadow of her former self, I can't think of any good reasons that would make me keep watching this mess after S4.

     Unless Stefan goes all ripper again. I'd watch for that.

     I also think Tyler and Caroline will be as irrelevant as Matt in season 5 if Klaus leaves, because whenever they DID have an SL, it revolved around him. Not gonna lie tho, I liked their last scene. Poor Tyler :(

     Damn it, I hadn't even thought about that but you're right! Everything Tyler has done after the werewolf stuff ended in season 2 revolved around Klaus. What is he going to do next year? There are no more hybrids for him to play Alpha, and his personal life drama will be over with Klaus gone. I doubt they'll give him a bigger role in the group (he's been even less of a member this season) so...I guess he'll just be there? Taking his shirt off and having sex with Caroline occassionally?

     UGH I don't want to think that Caroline's role in season 5 will just be about being Tyler's girlfriend/Stefan's bff/Stelena's advocate or whatever. But it seems like the obvious assumption rn.

      

     I felt bad for Tyler in that last scene, but I didn't get any forwood feelings, despite how emotionally charged the scene was. I think I've become immune to them LOL.

       I get Tyler feels time from time, like sympathy and stuff, admiration. I never get forwood feels, I haven't gotten them since he turned hybrid. Plus I still give kudos to Tyler for that "killing a friend for a friend" speech, despite that I felt Tyler only knew Chris for 24 hours. But scratch that, I did get forwood feels when he gave her the bracelet. Caroline's purpose annoys me more than his though. I still think eventually a few characters will visit that spin off, Joseph tweeted the "Crossover" tweet either because it was a joke or a spoiler.

     Agreed. I don't care for Tyler, but he was absolutely right in that scene. I am surprised at how cool Caroline is with killing innocent people this season: she didn't give a f**k about Chris_and wouldn't she get a shit load of clueless vampires dead if she had staked Rebekah last night? W T F?

     Probably because Tyler has spent a big amount of the show without a storyline (and without screentime LOL). I'm used to him not having a purpose, while Caroline always felt more like an integral character IMO and the thought of another season of her doing nothing but support other people's plots kills me.

      

     I didn't know JM had teased about crossovers...Perhaps he saw some people being disappointed and wanted to make them feel better? Who knows, it's too soon to be sure about stuff like that. I do think they'll do some crossovers eventually. But crossovers are usually 1-2 episodes per season and I'm having a hard time believing that Plec could write a decent storyline about any TVD characters who will jump on the spinoff for one episode alone.

     I don't think he knows about the negativity, so I don't think he tweeted "crossovers ;)" because of that. He tweeted the news (about the spinoff) an hour after everyone found out, and all of his followers were squealing and stuff, they were happy, and I think that's the only reaction he's seen because he only goes on twitter (and said he only goes on twitter).

     But yeah ditto on Caroline, I am not interested in her being filler support.

     Ugh call me a bitch or whatever but I don't have any Forwood feels at all. When I saw the gifs of 4x10 I just thought 'what an ugly crying face and gosh MT is such a bad actor.' When they have sex I want Kanye to interrupt them. I can like any Caroline ship except Forwood and Maroline. Tyler and Matt annoy me and I don't think I can like pairings involving them.

     ^ Her purpose now is to be Stefan's cheerleader, Elena's moral compass, and Tyler's nanny. I really only like her moments with Klaus. When she complained to him in 4x07, she was being herself that's the Caroline I used to like.

     From what I heard from tumblr she's the queen of Stefan-stans now and the biggest SE shipper
