   The thing is, I never cared about them even when they were less annoying.

   Before they were non-existant until they got so annoying they got my attention. Elena's retardation process was progressing every season. Damon's sex appeal had been dropping ever since he fell for Elena. Steffy got from a cheaper version of Angel to a Cheaper Version of Edward Cullen. Man, Elena brings out the worst in men.
