Tyler Lockwood simpleton or awesome?

   I really think Tyler is the worst vampire on the show. He's not crazy like Kol. Badass like Elijah. Cultured/charming like Klaus. Or snarky like Damon. Sometimes I forget that he is a vampire. Maybe the writers want to portray him as a regular teenager still in high school so they try to emphasize his humanity but his character is pretty lame IMO. Basically he and Matt are on the same level of lameless right now which is sad because being a hybrid was supposed to enhance his character. Tyler is forgettable and I can see why he has one of the least fanbases on the show.

   he had so much potential as a character but Plec, as usually, fucked the potential up :D all her attention and "development" goes to golden Elena :D

   I still love Tyler though.

   Tyler is ok but for some reason i liked him better when he was a complete azze clown in season one. I did see growth potential in the character too but thx to JP i forget he is on the show. MT is hot though!

   Cultured/Charming like Klaus, LMFAO you are such a stan. Trevinos acting doesn't do it for me, so I can never get into the character. It's sad to say, I actually felt more moved with Klaus' reaction to Kol than Tyler crying over Carol

   Tyler is the only male on the show that I did not end up hating. he is like Teen Wolf's Scott, but more self-confident. IF this show was focused on Caroline and tyler, I would still be watching.

   LMAO A thread dedicated to Tyler? Now this board is complete lol.

    

   Tyler is a good guy, but the character is not interesting enough for me and Trevino's acting isn't good enough to be able to elavate a rather boring role into someone I can care about (his acting usually makes things worse tbh).

    

   But honestly, Tyler, Matt and Jeremy are all disposable IMO. Any one of them could disappear from the show tomorrrow and I wouldn't really notice.

    Same. I secretly liked him in S1 when he was a bully and womanizer. He was an asshat but interesting. Now he's just another vanilla whitebread character like Jeremy and Matt.   I actually felt more moved with Klaus' reaction to Kol than Tyler crying over Carol Yep. Klaus crying= give the man an Oscar. Tyler crying=can I fast forward this shit?   Tyler, Matt and Jeremy are all disposable IMO. Any one of them could disappear from the show tomorrrow and I wouldn't really notice. True dat. JP can get rid of them and save a ton of money.
