Vampire Diaries - Plotholes Thread
-
I mean heroes can NOT be topped in the matter of trainwrecks....we hade solar eclipses that lasted DAYS, character powers being retconed every two episodes, plotpoints being outright dropped, characters dying and getting resurrected again and again, love relationships appearing out of nowhere and getting dropped just as fast.
There was some VERY ridiculous things like writers liking one actress so much that after she dies, they introduced her twin sister out of nowhere
TVD is quickly catching up though in terms of plotholes and trainwreck.

Seriously Cizzi. He made tons of threads about the show, and continues to drop wall of text comments in the news articles. Sorry, he's taking it serious. When you're done with a show, you don't make a habit to talk about it every day.Posted 8/28/2012 12:22:10 PM #

Then you have Supernatural changing its premise and well, EVERYTHING we learned about it with the start of Season four because writers lost their minds.
Then there was Terra Nova, which was frankly more the case of "we have this budget and no idea on what the fuck to do with it, nor any idea on what genre our show is".
There was also the short-lived Nine lives of Chloe king where NONE of character decisions made any sense at all and the show writers had no idea what to do with the show apart from "we want to imitate Buffy".
THen there are the last two seasons of Doctor Who, but its more about new Show Runner having no idea on how the fuck to write a coherent season-wide story arc and being so in love with one of his characters that he felt the need to make a horribly convulted origin story for that character that makes no sense.
Sadly by now TVD tops the ridiculousness of most of these, barring maybe supernatural which makes no sense at all and has no plot at all.

I still talk and bring up gossip girl and heroes. But I could not be MORE done with those shows even if I tried. :)

You bring them up, you're not making threads about them. OR posting in their articles. And this show being awesome once upon a time ago is no excuse for you venting about the disaster it became. No ones telling you to shut up (actually yeah we do but freedom of speech ya know) we're just saying you take tvd serious and you fail to convince me otherwise.Posted 8/28/2012 12:30:38 PM #

Here? nope.
OR posting in their articles.
Which is only normal because I left that show RIGHT AFTER HOTEL INCIDENT, which was god knows how many years ago. I have no interest of even discussing any technical sides of that show by now, unlike with TVD, but I care about GG as much as I do about TVD, which is nothing.
I take the writing seriously because the ammount of fail in the technical side of the show infuriates me, but I could not care less about the show or its characters and have no plans of ever watching it again. Just because I do not care about the show, it does not mean that I am not infuriated by the lack of competence of writers or all the mistakes they have done.

One more huge plot hole - Elena's so-called training...started out of nowhere and was not used even one this past season....

It lasted for a whole 10 minutes total in the whole show. Hilarious :P
Cue mid-season break and it is NEVER EVER mentioned again.

Plec most likely saw the first seaosn of teen wolf and decided "hey we should try to copy that too!" except that while teen wolf succeeded at making their lead female kickass awesome even more so than she already was, TVD forgot it even tried it(three seasons too late, at that, too)
