   We all know Damon will survive, but what do you think the cure will be?

   I think that it would have to be something really rare or something to do with the werewolf who bit the person... Cuz if it was just a cure anyone could get their hands on the whole fear of a werewolf bite on vampires would be taken away...

   We all know Damon IS going to survive. The writers will make some sort of loophole, but it'll be a cliffhanger into season three.

   i think it will be elena's blood. like in buffy when only the blood of the slayer could cure angel after faith poisoned him.

   i think the difference will be that he was bitten by a werewolf in transition and that he'll be grand. Liking the drinking an originals blood idea though!

   I reckon it's got something to do with the elixir as well; because apparently the elixir won't work on Elena (Damon's passing comment to Elijah --- but could have just been Damon saying it). Perhaps it has some other properties? Only works on vampires? I thoroughly enjoyed reading someone elses comment on another thread (forgive me, I can't remember who it was or what thread it was), but they mentioned the fact Elena wanted a family - and if drinking this elixir will cause the rebirth of a vampire as a human, then that will mean DAMON will be able to provide this for Elena :D (could just be the Delena fan inside of me ahaha). Makes total sense seeing as Damon CANNOT die, and even if he does, he'll be coming back in some form or another - it would be a pretty epic death and reawakening scene. I can hardly WAIT for Season 3!

   I think that he would have to drink the blood of the werewolf that bit him, i've thought that since rose died but it never happened with her! :'(

   I think that it's Elijah's elixir....it isn't just a coincidence that they introduce a elixir to the storyline and Elena doesn't get to use it and in the same episode Damon gets bitten by Tyler... I really think it will be the elixir... 

   I love the sound of Damon drinking blood from Elijah....I would love to see that....that would be exellent for me cause I ship Dalijah haha

    Not to shoot it down, but Elena will turn, so anyway she can't get a family by blood. If she dosen't turn, it means the ritual weren't complete.
