what will happen to Katherine in season 03?

We all are so so so excited about Jeremy-Bonnie-Vicki-Anna thing, Delena hope and a dark side of Stefan but then i wonder .. what will happen to Katherine? Is she going to just disappear since she is running away from Klaus? Or are they just going to kill her?
That would be a shame since she is an amazing and on of the best character.

I doubt they will kill her yet. The whole love rectangle with stefan and damon and Elena still has her part undeveloped.
Not to mention that if they EVER kill her, I hope they do it exactly like in the books, with Elena fighting and killing her.

this is what i imagine to happen:
Klaus and Stefan will probably find her close to the start of the season... she is kinda predictable now and it will be easy for the two, now working together to find her. I picture them to use her then dump her in a werehouse (maybe where all the originals are) that she is compelled not to exit. They will use her as they please for information or help and when she is no use to Klaus, he will order Stefan to kill her.

We do not know how rippers work. What is indicated in the show is that vampire generally has two sides - human and "vampire/animal/demon/whatever". In case of normal vampire, those sides are pretty much in ballance, in case of ripper however, the non-human part takes up millions of times bigger part in the person than the human part and grows with blood consumption.
For all we know, rippers are uber-strong and that could be one of reasons Klaus wants to have.

I think that Klaus will find Katherine and use and torture her again, I don't think that they would kill her... what I wonder is if Stefan would give her vervain, so that klaus can't compell her! He will definatly be grateful for bringing the cure to Damon!

I think Katherine getting trapped and totured is getting a bit old.
It was basicly all that happend to her last season. "totured", trapped and pumped for information...

Why is Katherine suddenly predictable? So far, both shown and stated by everyone, she is the most unpredictable character in TVD.

When Stefan mentioned to Klaus that Katherine won't come back because of the vervain, Klaus told him that Stefan will help him see to that. Which could mean he'll have to kill her.

True, it could happen...still it wouldn't hurt to keep Katherine a while longer to see if her character development changes along the way.
