At the time Gibbs executed his family's killer, he was in a different state of mind. A different man. If he had the resources to bring their killer to trial legally, I believe he would have chosen that option. A Marine such as Gibbs character portrays has a set of honor that it would take having his back against the wall to change. Unless Abby can put herself in Gibbs shoes back then, and be faced with the same choices, then there is no choice. She should have his back-always...
