So what is Hakeem planning, exactly? He wants to form trio, a hot girl group with Tiana front and center. She, however, thinks she's too good to be a part of a trio. For a while, anyway. Hakeem takes the time to woo a hot little Latina in the meantime. Options!
What's next for Lucious? Thankfully, he hired a new lawyer. Neither Lucious nor Cookie is down for long these days, so while he may look pitiful peeping out of the hole, it's hard to feel sorry for Lucious Lyon.
Sure, Lucious may have recorded a track while behind bars, but he got his ass tossed into solitary for doing it, too. Officer McKnight got his payback, bitch!
Why does Lucious look so smug? Because he's still making moves from prison. Why was Officer McKnight so persnickety? Lucious managed to record an epic track from inside the prison walls. Of course.
It appears that conversation went very well. It's hard not to be skeptical when they're talking and Dre is working with Hakeem and Cookie. Something shady has to be going on here.
Whatever Rhonda is saying, Jamal is listening to her intently. Surely she's not sharing her deepest, darkest secret. When will that come back to bite her in the ass?
Is she a hot mama or what? Cookie is trying to make her own dreams come true by forging forward with her own label and two of her sons by her side. It's her time, dammit. Her time!
It's good to see Hakeem and Jamal together, but damn...they have some sour looks on their faces, right? So what's happening in this conversation? We will learn that Jamal is just as tough as his father when making business moves.
Cookie tries to intervene with Hakeem and Tiana. Will she be able to talk some sense into the two of them so they can work together? Is she the voice of reason?
Tiana isn't all that interested in Hakeem's fresh ideas for the new label. Will she be able to jump on board or will Hakeem have to look elsewhere? Surely, Tiana is a team player, right?
Hakeem has ideas of his own for the record label he's creating with Cookie and Andre. Do they include making his own music? Of course! But that's not all he's about anymore.
Oh and Jamal, one last thing, I wanted to tell you first before you hear it out here in these streets. Me, Andre and Hakeem, we're starting our own company.
Cookie: I need you to give Hakeem his album back. Jamal: Why would I do that? Cookie: Jamal you already won. You run the Empire. All Hakeem's got is his music.
