After so many near misses, (a suicide vest, a possible CIA assassination attempt, the bombing in Langley) we really wondered if Brody could avoid the grim reaper once again. But a tragic life led to a tragic death as it all ended with a betrayal and a public hanging. After all of that suffering, we hope Nicholas rests in peace at last.
Alright, admittedly it's a little awkward with Brody just left hanging and Carrie carrying his baby, but Quinn has been there for Carrie in many ways knowing this all along. He considered quitting over what she went through! They've always shared tension and he's a better match for her than the married, (dead) terrorist.
Carrie: I missed something once before. I won't, I can't let that happen again. Saul: It was ten years ago. Everyone missed something that day. Carrie: Everyone's not me.
